Actually the rack your own went very quickly with very very little in the way of the reracking fiasco from the prior year... The only bad aspect was the final day when they went to neutral rack and poor Ken Shuman couldn't get the balls racked properly to save his life....
If they use the magic rack it will be a complete and total disaster.... It sets up a trick shot by loading every ball in the rack... None of the pros I have asked think it has any place in professional pool... I will ask more this year at the Open and will report back what the feedback is....
Rack your own with money on the snap not counting is the way it should be played... ALL THE WAY THRU THE FINALS.......
I have spent too many hours working on developing a 9ball and 10ball break to let a silly piece of plastic give you what it took me years to learn.... I am only an amateur... You think the pros feel any less passionate about it???
