Just looking for some opinions. It seems everytime I look at it I change my mind about it.

I was hoping I hated it so i could say it was ugly and be an ass. But, I kinda like it. It has some simple class and charm to it.

good stuff.

i kinda like it too. what about that purpleheart butt next to it??
got plans for that?

I would prefer black phenolic rings on CD with silver or something else... IMO the natural linen doesn't show much contrast with the points and the BE handle...
Nice clean work!

Horribly Ugly!!!

Very ugly indeed! My suggestion to you is send the cue to me and I'll pay the shipping.

Let me suffer on keeping that cue... :D

I don't know how you feel about stain, but if you could come off the tint of the rosewood with a light stain, I'm thinking like honey amber aniline dye, I think the birdseye will come off better. If that doesn't work, a black leather wrap will.

IMHO, it's fine the way it is. I like simple contrasting wood combos.

You know, you could solve all of your concerns putting a 1/4" ring all the way down by the butt cap and turn it into a stunning Hoppe style-like cue. Just a thought...

I will put a linen ring on for a but cap, just haven't got to it yet, because I'm not sure what length I want it yet.

This cue, or the purpleheart cue next to it is going to be my playing cue. I'm not sure which one yet.

The purpleheart cue is the first cue I put points in. I didn't cut the v-groove deep enough, so the points are real small. I know better now. :(
