Ultraskin tips

I had ultraskin medium tips installed at the DCC by Joe Blackburn. Been wanting to try 'em for awhile. I've been playing pool for over 30 years and have to say these tips feel as good if not better than anything I have ever hit with. Minimal mushrooming, hold shape and chalk, etc., etc.

And to top it all off, the price is extraordinary. :) I'll definitely be buying more.

Overall.............major thumbs up.

This is way out of character for me but I just feel it needs to be said.
I have the opposite opinion. Seems to b a great guy from what I've read but I wouldn't use them if they were free. The softs are far from soft. I'm not bashing and there's been a lot of ultra-skin threads and I've never said a word. Tips are a preference thing so others may love them. The only reason I posted this was so people would know that not everyone likes them . I bought mine because of a thread like this and had to turn around and replace them with something different . Good luck to you

I didn't like the softs either, but I really like the mediums which are kind of like the Kamui black softs only better.

Not everyone gets the same results.. Wonder why that is...?

I think its because the way/fashion the tip was installed, if a guy that's used to installing the lower cost le pro,triangle and elk master tips installs the UltraSkin the results can be not to good.


I've had good results with the tip, can't be just luck..

It must be regional because I don't like them either. I have about 15 of them that I will sell Cheap! Lol. The biggest problem I had was them spraying chalk all over Mr Mikes beautiful Diamond table. I couldnt get them to hold chalk at all.

Had one installed last week. Medium ultraskin. Plays pretty good to me. Kamui black medium and medium ultraskin, both good playing tips only difference is one is a good price.
 
I been using them on my shooter , went with the new Pro , and like all the rest , I like them , I have had several players switch to ultra skin , have had NO complaints . Jim
 
I keep a good supply on hand. Pretty much all that I install these days, unless I get a specific request for an Everest or Moori.
 
Great tips. Switched from the mediums to the soft and won't go back. Much better feel and they definitely play soft to me.
