Unique 2 x 3 Cue Case ... Violin Case

Up for sale is a 2 butt 3 shaft Pool Cue Case fashioned from an oversized violin (or maybe viola) case. Since this was originally a violin case, it looks like a violin case when closed.

The bottom section houses two cue butts and up to 3 shafts can be loaded into the top section. I fashioned four 'carriers' out of wood for the conversion. Two each are installed in the bottom and the top of the case. There is a swinging/turning piece of wood on top of each 'carrier' to hold the cues and shafts in place.

There are two sturdy, luggage type clasps to hold the case closed. One of the locks has an opening for a key, and (I guess) could be locked, but ... I don't have the key. There is a leather or leather-like handle for carrying the case.

Please note: 30" butts and shafts fit neatly into this case. If your cue butt, including joint pin, or shaft is over 30" long, they may very well NOT fit into this case. And, the violin case was used when I bought it to do this conversion, so the case itself, as well as the blue clothe lining, show signs of use/wear.

I think that you may want to rewrite your title,if your case holds 2 butts and 3 shafts it's called a 2x3 not a 2x5 just saying.

I think you may want to rewrite your comment, any intelligent person can see what it is and understand he made a goof. "rewriting a title" is not jst a matter of hitting an edit button on here, I believe you have to notify the moderators and request that they edit the title...We all know how long that can take...

Ya. My bad. Fingers in motion before brain is engaged. I tried the edit function, it changes the title AFTER the thread is open, but does NOT change the title on the Forum index pages. Sorry!
 
This is so funny 8Ball.

About 3 months ago I found an old violin case at the flea market here in TN. I bought it with the sole idea of making a case for my 1 pocket player (and being able to tell the other players they all "sleep wit 'd fishes.") I work on it only as time permits.

To see another person had the same idea is fantastic =) Good luck with the sale!

Bump for a great case. My only question is can I still fit my Tommie GUN in it? LOL great case I have seen this done before for guns but never cues.
 
cool case, and I like the joke BUMPs, so, I'll add one.

A guy buys a truth detecting robot. The robot will smack anyone that is lying. He tries it out on his son whom the school had called about earlier informing dad that junior didn't make it in today.

Dad asks (with his new robot nearby), "Junior, did you skip school today"
Junior says, "No." Robot SMACKS him
Dad asks, "where were you?"
Junior says, "at a friends house watching a movie" no reaction from the robot

No. There's no room for the Tommy Gun once your cues are loaded into the case. I usually just carry the Gun in my hand with the cue case in the other!
 
How is it that you can be OVERwhelmed, but you can't be UNDERwhelmed?

I ponder such matters ......
 
We all get heavier as we get older, because there's a lot more information in our heads. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
