One problem I see is the tool doesnt addresss varying tip thickness. Some tips are thinner/thicker than others.
I do like the auto centering aspect.

When constructing this tool, I had also some worst case scenarios in mind. One scenario was about centering a very thin and, if you like, a pre domed cue tip with small dia (like some snooker or carom tips).
In such a case the inside of the tool gives you the easy possibility to reduce distance resp. to “lift” the thin cue tip so that it can be clamped.
So, this tool can manage thin tips.

Awesome looking tool! Keep me updated when you have them ready to sell. Also, what glue system are you using? Looks like you spray an accelerant of some kind on the two surfaces? Thanks!

In the clip I use an activator spray which speeds the cure of the superglue in the blink of an eye (i have sprayed it on the tip surface). Otherwise I would have had to wait 2 or 3 minutes till the superglue is reasonably hardened and I had to cut the video afterwards.
