>>>>>>>Unused Unhit 1994 TAD KOHARA Cue FOR SALE<<<<<<<

This cue is SOLD thnaks to all.

Here's a great opportunity Tad Kohara Cue. This cue was purchased in 1994 and immediately stored, unhit and unplayed, until now. The cue is in pristine condition. Here's an opportunity to own a cue Tad himself made at a price cheap enough to enable use as a player (always a great decision with a Tad), or a pristine example unused collectible with a 15 year head start on historical value. Please note the use of stacked veneers in the butt windows.

The cue is 58 inches and weighs 19 1/2 ozs with either 13mm ivory ferruled shaft. The ferrules are the only use of ivory in this cue. The cue is dead straight and in the same condition as if you were buying from Tad today, no dings or dents or scratches. Satisfaction is guaranteed.

I run my auctions from Sunday to Sunday and I picked this cue up today so I thought I'd make it available to the AZ community in the meantime.

First SOLD SOLD SOLD will own this cue. The price includes the cue as shown, with 2 shafts and the JPs. The price also includes domestic US shipping via USPS Priority Insured mail with Signature Confirmation. PayPal is OK with shipping to your confirmed domestic US address.

Please let me know if I can be of assistance and thanks for looking.

Thanks for the well wishes.

All the sticks I've seen with stacked boxed venners were built in the 60s and 70s. I like the stacked treatment, looks way more hand made (which of course Tads are) to my eye than the more precise mitered method.

Thanks again

Kevin

made by tad?

at what year did tad stop making the cues?

at what year did tad stop making the cues?

Tad Kohara is still working on cues, I have seen him at the shop. Some have said that his son, Fred, does a good bulk of the work now though I cannot confirm that. I have seen Tad working on cues during my several visits this year, so he is still very much involved with the business. Just how much involved, I don't have the answer to that.

Dai, I won't be taking a screw driver to the butt cap of this cue.

As stated in the description, this cue was completed in 1994. I don't believe that it is necessary to check the serial number since this one is an obvious TAD design. The more obscure TAD's, the serial number is important for identification and confirmation purposes. This one is doesn't need confirming. Plus, Kevin knows his stuff, no need to question him.

Oh, btw... Beautiful cue! Good luck with sale!

My goodness Kevin, where do you keep coming up with these classic, collectible cues? Youve already put up a few excellent Ginacues and a Tad on ebay within the past couple of months. Are these all being moved from the personal collection?

The Tads are being moved from a personal collection, just not mine.

Thanks

mamono

Thanks much.

Regarding the unscrewing of the butt. I just think its best since I'm offering the cue as unused and pristine, to let the owner decide if he wants scratches and such on his cap screw. I guess it is possible that the cue was built in 1993 or maybe 1995, but if that makes a difference I don't understand what it is. The original owner acquired the cue as unused from Best Billiards and to the best of his recollection, that was in 1995.

It is a beauty,

Thanks again

Nice cue you got there for sale, I bet it will be gone soon.

Thank you. Soon is a relative term. If, in this case, "soon" means "next Sunday after you list the cue in a no reserve auction on eBay", you would probably be right.

Thanks again

If I was a potential buyer and someone told me this.........let's just say I would no longer have an interest.

I'm sorry that mamono's comments posted in my for sale thread would make you not want to buy a cue from me. He knows a lot about Tads (more than me) and what he has to say is generally positive and always informative . I welcome his posts and I'm sorry that what he said would somehow make you not a buyer.

Thanks

Kevin -

No issue with you at all. My point is when a potential buyer makes a request, as in if a Southwest what is the number on pin, or on this Tad, what is the number under the bumper, size of shafts, etc. and the buyer says he wont supply that information, then I say, I am not interested.

Saying that someone is an expert, and I shouldnt require him to provide information etc, it is obvious, etc., whatever.

Not how I do business. If I have someone sincerely interested, or potentially interested for that matter, I would give them all I could provide. Unscrewing a screw to see the number below a bumper is a reasonable request, IMO. For someone to suggest it is not, is rediculous.

Best of luck with your sale. If it had points, I might be interested.

It's a Goner

This cue is sold.

Thanks to all that looked.

On to the next one. I hope to have a cool older Tad available next week.

Thanks again

Kevin

Congrats Kevin, can't wait to see what's next. I was luke warm on this one. I like points.

Thank you very much. What is next up (hopefully) is a very early 70s Tad (with points) and veneered windows in the butt with (are you ready?) feathered inlays. Get your interest at all? Wish me luck on getting it and if I do I'll make it available.

Thanks again

Kevin
