I have posted the latest results on my site. I am also helping Az with the upadates on brackets which should be up very soon. Check them out at
www.tonycrosby.com. There have been a few losses today.
Tony
Tony,
Thanks.
I consider Sparky`s win over Jeremy as an upset.

Sparky made a few 9 balls on the break. He also made some great outs.
Jeremy made some unforced errors.
I will give some more updates on my site soon. I also spoke to mike from az he should have the brackets updated soon.

The demeanor of your buddy Salazar after the match appeared like he took the defeat alright.

JAM's Tout Sheet!

Well, I just checked out the brackets, and there's some excellent matches coming up:

On the winners' side:

Rodney Morris vs. Sparky Ferrell [Sparky's been on the road for several months now, playing most every day, but I make Rodney a 2-to-1 favorite from his tournament experience in high-profile events.]

Jose Parica vs. Charlie "Hillbilly" Bryant: [Jose's in top gear after knocking down Archer, and he's tough to beat the closer he gets to the hotseat. Jose's my pick on this match-up.]

On the losers' side:

Thorsten Hohmann vs. Mika Immonen: [His disciplined lifestyle makes him the favorite in any event he enters, though Mika is a warrior. Thorsten all the way to win, place, or show at this UPA tournament.]

Rob Saez vs. Warren Kiamko: [Something about them Filipinos that gives them an edge. Warren's my pick to win this set.]

JMHO, FWIW!

Really ....

I was curious how FL and Frank Alvarez would match up ... lol really, I'm serious, really I am ..

Troy was originally supposed to fly out of VF on Sat but because he had a chance of winning the pro-am event, he changed his flight. He did end up winning the pro-am but I don't know when his flight was changed to. After a long 5 days in VF and winning the pro-am, he might've just opted to go home instead of fading the time difference and start another tournament in 3 days.

He was in VF on Sun....the rest is speculation. ;)

Frank has improved his game and days of people laughing at his game should come to an end.He now can run a rack.FL had not at all played well in the match I saw. today.Frank will beat FL.I talked to FL today and he was very civil, appropriate and vary polite with me.

I also met FL for the first time and he was a perfect gentleman. When he lost to Lee Chenman he told Lee it was a pleasure to have played him and wished him luck??
I have also just posted latest scores

Tony, the fact that you're still in the tournament and sending out posts at dark-thirty impresses the hell out of me, and you've won at least one fan who's now rooting for you to win this thing. I'm not sure all the pro's know how much of a fan base they can garner by being active on this board. Your contributions to our need for any and all pool info is greatly appreciated and will undoubtedly bring you some advantageous pool karma along the way. Thanks for your selfless efforts.

THAT's the FL that I know. Unfortunately some people like to push his buttons, which is never a good thing to do to anybody. One time I saw someone come up to him and just start yelling at him, while he was giving a lesson. What does one expect when receiving that kind of treatment? Of course, I'm not excusing his rants or unmentionable posts. I can tell you one thing though: he has an incredible amount of pool knowledge, and he's happy to share it.

"Pool's romance...is not about tuxedos and crystal chandeliers..it's about cussing men and spitting and petty larceny...about hustling...the romance of pool is about freedom" - R. A. Dyer, "Hustler Days"

I agree !

Tony, good luck.
