Update: Joss Event at Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ

The Joss Northeast 9-Ball Tour is at Comet Billiards in Parsippany, NJ this weekend with 34 players competing for a $4,720 total prize fund.

Some notable players in the field include George "Ginky" Sansouci, Karen Corr, Earl Herring, Steve Lillis, Ryan McCreesh, Danny Barouty, Frankie "I'm gonna be a little late" Hernandez, Tom "Shorty" D'Alfonso, Holden Chin, Jonathan Smith and Mike Zuglan.

They are down to the final eight players and Sunday’s matches starting at noon are;

On the Winners Side:
Mike Zuglan vs Danny Barouty
Earl Herring vs George "Ginky" Sansouci

On the One Loss Side:
Victor Nau vs Frankie Hernandez
Sam Frangi vs Ryan McCreesh

Also, Mike Zuglan is taking entries for the recently announced Turning Stone Classic VII 9-Ball Open which will also serve as the 2006 Joss Tour Season Finale.

This $25,000 added event will fill fast and is limited to the first 128 paid entries. It will take place on August 17th - 20th, 2006 at the beautiful Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY.

Remember, the previous six Turning Stone events were SOLD OUT so enter early!

The Turning Stone is a non-alcohol serving casino which means you only need to be 18 to gamble on the casino floor. All ages are welcome in the Event Center and spectator admission is FREE.

They were down to the final eight players and Sunday’s matches starting at noon were;

Danny Barouty was in the hot seat!

On the One Loss Side;

then:

So then it came down to Danny Barouty and George "Ginky" Sansouci in the finals.., true Double Elimination Format.

Then again, George "Ginky" Sansouci over Danny Barouty in the final set. 9-2

Hey Barbara! Danny is a tremendous 9-ball player... he just hates the game. His "proof" that the game requires little skill is that he never plays it and yet can still run out with the best of them.

I ain't sayin' I agree with it, but that's what he says .

In the summer of 2003, two weeks after being crowned World 9-ball champion, Thorsten Hohmann played in the Big Apple Nine Ball challenge at Master Billiards in Queens, NY. Danny Barouty beat him.

In September of 2004, two weeks after being crowned US Open 9-ball champion, Gabe Owen played in the World Summit of Pool, played in Grand Central Station in New york City. Danny Barouty beat him.

Danny may not like nine ball, but don't assume he can't play it.
