Hi Everyone,
Last you heard from me, I was waiting for my new Jim Buss in the mail.
I received it the night before I went out of town (Sept 12), and an unfortunate event occurred and then I was away from my camera for 3-4 weeks. I am just now able to send you an update along with the photos (some have requested close ups of the points). Also, in the photo you can see the wrap is really a color not many prefer. LOL. I liked it, but will go with a darker brown for the next one.
Yes... the next one. I decided the Brown Mallee wasn't for me and will instead go with (probably) Bacote - which is more golden/brown than the reddish tint of the Brown Mallee. I also want to change the joint - probably to a wood to wood and softer in color. Still thinking about that.
Jim was very cool about my requests and has been very patient with me. I love his cues and the way they hit, I just had a different look in my mind and he is graciously accommodating. I joke with him my nickname is "The Pain."
Link to larger view of entire cue.
Attached are some close ups of that cue. I can't wait in a few months to show you all my new(er) cue. Thanks for everyone's help in this forum and via pm's!
