I'm not saying nothing, but hello my friends![]()
I know that tribal counsels were changed at a lot of casinos. No matter what casinos make money. Yes, Tony did have a good thing going, but the lack of attendance from pool players hurt those events. Pool players complained about not having tourneys to go to, but then when there was a tour they didn't participate in those events. It's very hard to make pool players happy. I feel like if a tourney is ran right pool players will attend. Mike Fieldhammer from MN runs a very good tourney. I would love for him to come down and get something going.Bump
What happened to the MCPT? I thought he had a good thing going. I knew some casino's redirected thier entertainment budgets, changed personel, etc. Tony always talked like he wasn't getting rich, but I figure he was making money.
A big tournament is just that -- a break even venture at best and when well attended events are not around long, not sure -- but I may have to join Mikey raking leaves.
Tell Jamie when you see him nice auto call without thinking on my all in after the flop after I pre flop raised...when he had just an open ender vs my top pair Ace kicker. Nice 8 outer hit bud, you played it well lol.
We only won 4-1 tonight. I did have 3 ERO's and two 10-0's though so im catching you some frost. ;0
Spina, YOU PLAY BAD!oke:
would it have made you feel better if he DID think about it for a few seconds and then said, " boy, this is stupid but I'm gonna do it anyway, CALL!"
aint nothing better than a bad beat story where logic is involved! :speechless:
Hey Mikey, pool in DM isn't about the money, really, it isn't. It something for people to do indoors when the weather isn't the greatest which requires little energy and you don't have to be in great shape to be somewhat competative at it. Its not about the hustle, or the moves, or the right play. Its about "woofing it up"(did I use that right? still makes me vomit a little when I use that term. :barfwithout having too much at stake.
So, hop on the merry bandwagon of DM league/tournament pool and fill your passion bucket full with the peace and harmony and help promote the sport(is it really a sport? :shrugthat gives you that tingle inside! :canoodle:
your therapy session is over, that's $145 per hr w/ a 1 hr minimum. you can pay me when you see me! And I'm sure you will get more out of my session than one with "Hair NEO" at $35/hr" :duck:

It must be really hard to be so damn good at poker, I wish I knew how to play.
Quit making those last longer bets to put that added pressure on yourself for a measly $20 when you are trying to win $200-250 .
BTW Kirk thanks you for that...
Who the hell is Kirk? I just expect to win at a table like that, can't fault me. Everyone folds on min raises, calls with only top 10 hands so if the flop isn't great people usually go away. People generally had exactly what I would expect them to have, its just about betting them off of it. You don't need the nuts when the action is soft. Position means nothing in the game, it might be fun but it certainly isnt good enough to crack on someone else's game.
Prime example guy raises with K-J off suit calls a re-raise. Flop has a Jack in there, straight draw, and 2 cards to a flush. He bets, gets re-popped all in and makes the call with K-J off suit for his tournament life with all that out there on the flop and all he has is top pair second kicker. If you can't see a problem with this hand I just can't think of what to say. This hand happened at this great game.
Since you don't gamble on pool..... I hear Jason R will play anyone heads up poker for $100 or so...? I think his exact words were "No one I know is good enough to beat me". That sounds like a good game for you Mikey, unless its just not enough money to make it worth your while....?
It would be a fun game, when he first said it I even offered to play (check the posts), no response really so now I'm over it. Besides if I win all it means is "I Got Lucky" and the world does not need another one of those conversations.
I'll pass...some of us here play a mean ass internet game every two weeks that's all the poker I need in my life.
Does anyone read books anymore?
P.S. I still gamble on pool, I just like to say I don't. I almost banked $3k on the US Open with my prop bets and match wins, instead ended up a few hundred and salty at Ralf. Did win a calcutta we did with Mika that paid pretty well and I *****ed about having Mika in it for 5 days lol.
