Update on the Des Moines pool scene

I believe it will start at 7 according to the APA facebook post. His shows are usually for all ages, probably just depends on where it is located. If it is in the back room I wouldn't think it would be a problem, but who knows. Regardless we will be there. It should be a good time.

I emailed RANDY and asked about the all ages thing. He said that it was ALL AGES but I haven't heard back from him on where it's at, like in the APA room or whatever.... i'll let you all know what he says.

Thursday I will be busting Celtics fans also at Big Dogs. Feel free to watch Dr. Cue and place a sidebet on the Celtics. Lakers got it in the bag from here.

Jason Kampas lost his father last week due to illness. Paul held a moment of silence for him last night and everyone signed a card for him. I'm sure he will be there on Thursday so express your condolences for him during this tough time.

oh no :*( I know he was dealing with that for a long time. I hope Jason is ok :*(

((((hugs to Jason)))))

He is going to be at Big Dogs this Thursday at 7 doing an exhibition and its free. He puts on a good show. Kristen, my special buddy Shawn, and myself will be there. Maybe Justin will play him one handed jacked up again :).

So I must live under a rock.

I play pool in DM.
I'm on the internet frequently.
I have been to no less than 3 places (one Big Dog) in the last two weeks to play pool for more than 5 minutes in duration.
I listen to media outlets in the DM market.
I read the local newspaper; not just the comics or sports either.
I love Dr. Cue.

The FIRST time I even sniff this excellent show that I would love to attend is TODAY on AZBILLIARDS because you all mentioned it in casual conversation, not because of a link or thread. I guess I missed the media blitz that would have brought thousands to see the WORLD FAMOUS, TRICK SHOT CHAMPION Dr. Cue.

REALLY?

Sarcasm aside, I hear Dr. Cue is coming tomorrow?? I woulda been able to attend if I would have known sooner. Wonder if there are any more like me...

Have fun and enjoy the show. Dr. Cue knows how to entertain. Bummed I have to miss it.

PS - My condolances to Jason.

It is Marketing that is always missing from pool events.

What good is the greatest idea in the world if no one knows about it?

Marketing is always the hardest part of the business plan...that's why it pays the most.

Can anyone confirm the AC situation is fixed at Big Dogs. I want to bring my cues but not if it is hot and humid in there. I haven't been there since the big tournament which is why I ask. Thanks

Justin played there yesterday afternoon and said it was hot. I am going to come up with the kids, hopefully i can stay awhile.

That is what I was worried about. I will be keeping my cues at home I guess and just come up to watch the show and maybe have a drink. I can always grab a bar cue. I can't stand playing pool when its hot and humid in a pool hall.

b*tch and complain more please... its 120 degrees here, and I play atleast 4 days a week.

I'm just messin'

=)

It hasn't been bad in there in a couple weeks I'd say. I played Tuesday night and it was fine not super cool but by no means hot. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday were also fine. There problems aren't all the way fixed I don't think but it's not uncomfortable in there.

I'm not going to chance it tonight since it is supposed to be very warm and humid outside today. Don't worry Frost I am not going to offer Dr. Cue the 7 tonight :).

I'll be lucky to see any of that show I have a much different agenda than watching my 4th exhibition of the year. Unless he's going to do something new, I've seen him twice, don't know if I can take a 3rd time.
