Update on the Des Moines pool scene

Apparently, regarding the never opened Felt, the fallout was a result of the property owner's reluctance to lease to a business plan encompassing another pool hall. Very unfortunate considering Rex's business and culinary acumen was still resisted. Of all the homework and research he put into the place, not knowing the owner hated pool was the gauntlet. Now that's a bad roll.

Without getting into too much detail, and you can PM if you want to in lieu of posting on here in regards to privacy on the matter...can you elaborate on the reasoning by "not wanting another pool hall" for a reason as to not sell the place considering the rumor I heard on the reason it shut down in the first place...I don't see why he/she would care if they needed to sell it. Maybe they aren't hard pressed for the sale and don't need the cash.

He wanted, I assume, a more reputable sort of business, as seen through his eyes. I'm sure he was burned for some dough by the previous tenant. Must only be leasing and not selling to make that call. I'm actually, due to boredom just making most of this up though.

I am back. I won the money. Only guy that took a small beating of note from me is d-u-s-t-i-n w-i-l-g-u-s(for the super googlers lol). I can't beat him everyday and I know this, but I only had to beat him one day...and I did. I was a bit shocked at how easy it was to get the college kids to gamble some and other guys. Most were one set sally's but there friend would just jump right on it. It was a good time.

I will be back in a couple weeks, gotta fly to Philly/Deleware/Jersey next week...the week after that though I'll be around. Might spend some time at Ride the Nine as well. all depends.

Commercial real estate has a long ways to go down still.....I'm betting we see all kinds of attempts by landlords to stay above water. This guy might soon be begging someone to rent.

Maybe the rents will get so cheap that the halls can afford rack girls again?

While refreshing my pool detective skills aka doing some home work for next week's trip I saw the most interesting thing. I know it doesn't mean much to most people but this is pretty cool and Jesse Bowman's AzB player rank is 3! He's only ranked lower than Efren and SVB, I think that's pretty damn strong.

Third overall, but lacking in the earnings column. The 55 position jump has to be due to his recent win. What will be enjoyable watching is Jesse maintaining that position, keeping in mind he has fewer tournament entries than either Efren and SVB so his position is going to flucuate more.

Yeah and I'll tell you what, both Olathe tourneys I have seen him in, he ran over the field in devastating fashion. What I saw of the mobile stream he beat pure champions badly, like real bad. In fact he beat all those guys bad enough that on a bar table outside of Corey and SVB I think anyone in the US needs a little something. Maybe The Freezer and Earl wouldn't need anything either but past that I am thinking even Henny needs something on call.

I thought I watched the entire scmidt match and I dont recall jesse shooting even one safety. Some two ways but that was it. A race to nine against JS and not one safe. Can't even paraphrase that ----.

I am not on a team for league. I prefer dual sanctioning. Does anyone have a need for an average player? I would not want to play every week if possible, just enough to get my weeks in for the tournaments............

Are we joking that the A/C is still not fixed at this point? I haven't been there in a while since it's harvest but come on, it was supposed to be brand new a week or two ago.

Has anyone actually been in there to verify or did we all stop going and just are assuming?!?
