Ya, I would say Pet is the favorite in that game. I would have to say the odds would have to be against anyone in town giving Pet the wild 7.
Yessir, top 3 were Dan Kuhl, Anthony, and Spimp juice, with Tom Walewski coming in 4th. That's literally the most random tourney in town I swear it is. Some of that was def due to people wanting to sweat the action and drink it up, I was more worried about you getting home lol. I think you prob would have won if you weren't throwing back a shot of rumpy with a captain and coke to chase it lol.
That tourney has to start adding more money to it, I am pretty sure we are doing our fair share of drinking while we are there, they add $2/person I think we deserve $5/person now as that is the best boozing at a tourney Ive ever seen that has so many players show up to it. Something about the atmosphere makes everyone just start drinking, at Big Dogs there is minimal drinking.
Especially the way he breaks for his money ball. It works to his advantage cause he steers that ball close and gets a lot of quick games. Out of his 27 wins on Saturday over 1/3rd were short racks or on the snap, oh and they also were playing the 9-ball counted on break!
Thanks, I felt bad afterward that I didn't give Dan a match because I was bombed but still was just having fun so no bigge. I owe Worm a car wash...they gave me a ride home and I decorated the outside of her car in a couple of spots, as well as my garbage at home. Probably the most embarassing thing was I bowled a 113 in Silverstrike after barking at Nate (all in good fun). Sober or even semi buzzed I average close to 200 lol.
As for changing the money added from $2 a person to $5 it is something to think about. I did hear people mentioning the money a bit. It does seem that the crowd that was there was boozing it up so it might be worth it to bump it up a bit. Still, an extra $38 added was better then nothing. Table 7 I believe needs to be redone/leveled or something though. It is not really playable from a competitive viewpoint in my opinion.

What's the scoop on league this season? Teams about the same? Dual sanction? Bruce gonna give me a ride?
I would love to, but I am going to play with Kirk this session. I can't expect you guys to play masters just because I am the only other masters player on the team. Plus I would rather not have to go through what happened last year and have to get on another team just to play Valley. You guys should just stop ducking masters and finishing one round short....:angel:
I think the teams are shuffling up quite a bit from what I can tell. Lots of free agents too, there are quite a few guys that don't wanna play anymore also.

As for our finishes -- Performance Anxiety. Or we just don't live a lifestyle that allows us to play pool for 96 hours straight without a bathroom break. Valley last year was brutal.
Is league still on Monday night or did that change? Still Dual sanction? I hear all kinds of stuff.

From what I hear, Monday is still a dual sanction and it starts 9/13.
Who isn't wanting to play anymore Mikey? I saw that Troy was a free agent. I'm sure someone will snatch him up quick.

Possibly playing in two leagues come fall, three might be pushing it though.

What the hell? Did everyone just have a falling out or what? I saw JB's post on FB and he said something about the league trying to dismantle his team. Not sure what that's about, and I texted Jason R. with no response...
You only need 6 weeks to be qualified Big H so you should def look into that so you can play state and everything this year.
I have no clue who is running the league now, I just keep hearing people talking about issues and I think there's either 3 or 4 man teams now. I got no idea about any of it to be honest. I just hear little complaints from different people.

Jason, all you have to do is get an Iowa sanctioned league in Iraq. Doesn't seem that difficult to me:kma:
My team will be the same minus Jimmy as he wants to play with his other team.
The league is not trying to dismantle my team, Jon didn't know what he was talking about. Although some of the *league members* want my team handicapped to the point where we can't win, because its not fair. (neutering my team to where we can't win seems fair i guess) At one point even suggesting we just play on other teams to get our weeks in. <-- 3 original player rule kind of hurts here.
They also said i shouldn't be building a stacked team just for league. To which Kelly S. stood up and said, you realize his team has been almost the same for 10 years right ? That ended that topic.

Anyhow, good luck to all of you looking to get on teams or building teams. As you all know at the end of the day i want to see DSM be successful at state.

Fair is giving less talented teams a sporting chance via handicapping to maintain a viable league, not giving out the double nuts.
I would rather play better competition, it just boggles my mind how many would not. I guess the fish and pond scenario's come into play.
I would like to see DSM do well as well, but not having the best players playing in the league won't help.
Bruce: as long as you get me to league on time, I would ride on the roof. Cues have to ride in the front, but I'd take the roof.
Hope we have as many teams as last year. Should happen if theres several splits, and new forming...
Gee, maybe we'll get our payoff money then? EDIT:...I mean from LAST season.
