Update on the Des Moines pool scene

I like the 4 man better. Hard for me with 6 guys to get 4 there, lol. That's with Jon, Justin and myself showing up 99% of the nights ! ! !

Jamie is going to drive down to get 6 weeks in, i don't think hes got a chance to get 12 in for midwest though :(

Joe Trombetta

I'm sure by now most of you know of his pasting. Anyone know when and where the services are being held? RIP JOE.

I haven't heard anything. I unfortunately never really knew Joe. I can tell he was cared for by many. If there is anything I can do for his benefit tourney please let me know.

Does anyone know if Scott found a game?

Yes he did, he'll be down tonight. You'll have to drop by the pool hall to see who he's playing.

From that perspective your right 4 man will be the nuts. My team smokes a lot of pot so I imagine this will help us too haha. I just wonder if it's going to impact how much money the league brings in.

Someone with more time and smarts on their hands do the math:

Does the 4 man play 4 games each with the 5 man playing 3 games each?

The league money should be relatively close, and I don't really care anyway BUT...

If ISPA is still 5 man for the QC - how does that affect teams? Valley is still 5 person as well?

If BCA Midwest is ? per team?

What about Riverside ACS? # per team there??

Only my opinion, but I don't think there will be an influx of new teams because of 4 man vs 5 man, but just my opinion.

I'm still trying to do the math..... Aren't you the teacher in the group? lol

ISPA/VNEA/BCA is all still 5 man big tournaments. ACS i heard did 4 man last year.

I think both 4/5 man here in town you will play 4 rounds.

Scott won by 5 games. He's still short so it don't matter ;)

Bruce is always invited to any ring game I play in. Matt Eddy unfortunately lost his priviledges. Brad broke even with me after 4 games of one pocket which hurts my heart.

Everyone in the previous paragraph has 9-7 anytime they feel like robbing me, thank you come again.

Ugh, I was going to drink last night every time either team scored, but instead I had to drink every time there was a 3 and out by my Vikings :frown:. Maybe I will have better luck for the Iowa/Iowa State game on Saturday.

I'm giving up 13.5 points to ISU fans...if anyone wants some they can get a bet down! I don't think it will be close at all.

You got it!!! 9-7... I will be up tonight!! I'm guessing in one pocket i won't get hooked every shot and you wont shit money balls into your hole....:rotflmao1:

Maybe I will use Steve's tactics and we can play for $2 a game....

I want to be in the paragraph. &*%#

Tiger Onyx

FYI....

I just got a case of the Tiger Onyx tips in if anyone was wanting to convert. They hit pretty sporty! I was very pleased at how well they played.

You are first on the waiting list. I can't beat anyone giving them 9-7 but I'll try it. I will ask for an adjustment once I am down 10 games though so be on the lookout for that. I've picked too much money off of the pool tree now I must donate again for a few months. Take it easy on me please and I will never bet $2/game again ever ever in my entire life. We can play cheap though, see ya there. If I win the tourney tonight I will also bet it all on one game and you have the break. Thanks.

I secretly think you just might be better than your brother at one pocket. If you aren't it's close. I won't insult your intelligence and ask for 9-6 but I'd probably play with 10-7 unless you promise to go for your hole every open shot then I'll play 9-7 lol. Yes you are correct in assuming YOU are giving the spots. DUHHHH!

Before you type it no I don't want to play 6 ahead for $500 so stop thinking it. $20/game is about my max in one hole unless I am stealing then I bet more. Yes I said that out loud.

What did I do??

One pocket is a great game. I can miss shots and not automatically lose. (Sorta)

13.5 -- Hmm Makes me itchy. I can see it going off by that much EITHER way. You never know in these rivelry games....

Scott was down by 5 at one point -- fatigue factor or did he catch a gear?

I couldn't tell you if he caught a gear or not. He made a few pretty good outs that I happen to see. I was pretty much focused on consuming my alcohol. I'm kinda hung over today. 8-Ball is like any game on the barbox, the swings are going to be fairly large when they happen, just got to fade them. He played pretty good for a golfer!
