Update on the Des Moines pool scene

Wow, Rhea used to bid it up back in the days we played. It got to be something like $175 - $200 just for our half, and we weren't the only ones going that high. I didn't have enough faith in my partner to cough that up! :) He plays good, but he drinks better!

Good job tonight having the spimpmaster dump a little to help out the ole handicap.

Someone overheard Jody on Sunday night telling another person he dumped "when it didnt matter just like Jamie's team did and they are in first."

I will always want to be know as a leader. We won 5-0 against chris nicholson's team. So we have a nice lead on the good teams atm since we've already beat them all once.
 
MIKEYFROST, why the hell werent you in Cae Girardeau. You could have got things pumped up. It was a good tournament none the less. Maybe we'll catch up with you soon.

LOL, word travels quickly huh? We needed that 5-0. Really when we played Chris Nicholson's team Athens and Jody walked out because Chris was an asshole to everyone so we lost 5-0 with the forfeits and having to give up the world in balls. Then you guys beat us 4-1 which was a good win eventhough you guys were getting 6 balls that you didnt need. Outside of that though we are 14-1 in rounds, fairly stout IMO.

I felt bad for Worm and those other girls, truth be told we wouldnt have had to do it if I didnt allow my team to shark me and after i got down on an 8 ball for the 10th time i dogged it, so I had a 37 point night. However those few points we needed to make back in handicap though spimp juice.

As far as us being in 1st I dont know what Jody was talkin about, we are in 6th. We will catch up to you guys though, maybe! I got another ERO so I'm gonna go ahead and try to lead the league their the whole session if I can keep it up. Samething with 10-0s.

I think you guys are the only other team that can hold us, that's just my opinion on it. Maybe next time we play you guys get to give us 6 balls! That evens it out some. Im drunk and rambling. I'm sorry to the girls but like I said we ended up getting skunked by a team that plays bad enough they should never win a round against us. G'night feller!
 
About that...

Yeah...I didn't think it was going to be a big deal, but it sounds like it kind of hit a nerve with them which I felt bad. To my defense she dogged the first shot on the table on purpose, so I did the same. The game went downhill from there with who could get the worst shape, or miss the most. For crying out loud I took two cracks at the eight by cross banking one of my balls sending whitey flying down toward the eight. In the end she tried to make the eight first with several of her balls still on the table...missed, therefore giving me ball in hand to make the eight myself. They did have a point with being nice to wait since Pet was late, but I wasn't trying to cause a huge stir...no hard feelings I hope on that. I only had one good game out of 4 which was a safety came with that Kara or whatever her name is where I made a nice two rail kick hit on my last ball after she played safe. This new sh*t I am doing is tough and different after years of bad mechanics. Frost, nice draw shots buddy...Sounds like our team should be pretty fun, and definitely full of sh*t talking...something new to me :grin:

Last time I checked, we were in the top four or so and you haven't played us yet?.... Oh sorry, you said good teams...my bad
 
Yeah I agree Spina. The fact of the matter is that game was so ridiculous. They can throw the Pet card out and I'm fine with that, but I clearly said about 10 times to forfeit him to teach him a lesson because they kept bringing it up and making me call him and we were only in the beginning of the 2nd round. Paul asked me and Jody to look after the score sheet and keep people aware at the end of rounds and so forth. Another round I needed to run out on Worm (I did) or they could have potentially stolen a round. It's league and you have to play it out strategically when you can. Most of this stuff happened week 1 and that's why it's an issue now.

That did kind of put the spoiler to one of our typical goofy nights. Jody is "The One" like Neo in the Matrix. Athens is the most funny person in this town he was on a roll last night. I dont't know, it was fun, we all shot good in spurts and bad in others. That cue ball was not regulation and no I could not draw my ball. My own team sharked me and ruined my sweep. I got a busy day coming up, but that issue is going to bed and I really cant believe it even came up.

How long is the session Bruce? I think we should flip coins for our match and save the quarters. What place are you guys in? Damnit Bruce I need answers!
 
I am not sure how many weeks there are, but it almost sounds like we would be pretty close toward the top except for forfeiting the first week losing up to 5 points. All and all should be some good matches coming up.

I'm not sure how many weeks are left. We are in 5th and climbing. I like flipping coins....I rarely loose..lol
 
It was pretty funny last night, we were all jawing back and forth with Rex's team. At one point I bet him a dollar(in fun)that he couldn't get out. Well I guess someone on my team said $100, and that bent Rod all out of shape. He was saying he was tired of us running our mouths, so he challenged Brad a race to 5 for $100...and he lost his $100. I guess there was some ruckus after I left, but I'm not sure what it was..... But I won all four so it was a good night!

I'm tellin you man, league is crazy. Good for Brad beating Rod, I don't care much for Rod. He wasnt very cordial to Pet and I when we quit their team haha. Rex's team has some good guys on it though so I'd take the drama on a case by case basis. We need a camcorder for interesting league matches, thats what we need.

Jason when you figure out how to get the elusive and magical 6th point, please share...We're gonna need some 6 pointers soon. I wish we all played in the same place every Monday, that would be pure ruckus.
 
I found out what the ruckus was. Quoting Brian " I told Rod I was gona smash his face in for being a dick! ". Man I should have stuck around!

Thanks buddy, so far Pet has been the only one noticing a difference in how I shoot, keen eyes on his part. Still a lot of work to do there, but months to go before State. I am waiting to hear Brad's take on the story, should be a good one!

I hope Da Bears and the Vikings both keep winning making next months game an important one...can't wait to go!

Mike, if you want to stop by my house sometime I have a table we can practice some draw stuff. I don't charge $35 an hour like Jody, I will only charge drink fees.
