Where is everyone playing back in Iowa these days? Is McCoys still open? It's been many many years since I last played there

im not giving up shit theres no game if i have to spot him and as for brad are u trying to rob me the orange crush is what u want then thats kool. Well 3 o'oclock at BDogs i think just 50 a set id like to play him 10 a head for 500 but i dont think he will go for it.

Donny opened up a lil spot in Grimes. Just a little bar with 2 or 3 tables. Encounters has been closed for years
I left in '94 so guess things change eh?!?!? Thanks for the info. We are roadtripping back there next month for the holidays. Mostly in Ames though and SW IA.
Pet ain't spotting Jon, what universe is that fair? Not saying JB plays the most fair games, but you guys gotta drink less around a lamb killer. Ever hear of fainting goats?
Anyway I'm sure they will play 8 ball and 9 ball probably. Should be pretty good, I'll catch some of it after work. Won't be staying for the tourney though unless my 'friend' wants to hang out with the pool crowd...which is doubtful. I do want to devote an hour of my life to figure out how to play the wild ball in a 10 ball rack. No point in getting a wild ball if you can't move it to a good spot or in the hole fairly consistently, at least that's what I was told lol.

I just say that because I dont think I have ever seen John play a game where he wasnt stealing. Maybe I missed it, Im not there all the time.
I think you're right Troy...they are playing races to 7 of 8-Ball for $50 as we speak. Money posted up before the sets. Shouldnt be many discrepancies today...good tough match there.
Next weekend is like the football game you know that right ? I think you have your weekends messed up. Game weekend is 28th-29th
I said week...not weekend since I am on vacation. I may be over tomorrow to discuss going up on that Saturday.

Really Troy, what's your deal? How would you know what I have ever done? I would never ask for a spot from anyone in that place, including you!! I take that back, maybe in one pocket, because I never play it. Yes, Pet beat me tonight, because he played good and I didn't. I don't make excuses, like some people!! Pet is playin good right now. Next time I will have to play better. Yes, we posted the money, just like EVERYONE should!

Good shootin JB, I talked to Pet tonite and he was pretty happy that you haven't been playing. He said the first set you were real rusty and came out slow. The second set he said he was glad he jumped out quick because you started shooting strong like your normal game, it was just a little late in the set. That's the kind of action you need.
No one is giving you a hard time about your talent, hell most of us need 2-3 games in a race to 7 to make it competitive against you. The hating is a compliment IMO. You did post up the dough which as far as I am concerned is standard protocol now. I'm pretty sure almost everyone that gambles fairly frequently has taken a lick in the last couple weeks. Important thing is to not go bust over a game of pool, and push yourself to improve if you have the time.
I say kudos for playing an even matchup, I know you'll try it again with him soon. Pet refuses to hit balls on the big table now, thinks it hurt his barbox game, so he is focusing pretty hard on the short track.
With that said...Pet is giving Jimmy the 7 and the break...yes asian Jimmy the 7 and the break...no Pet was not liking it when I left although I think by the grace of god he is EVEN right now. I told Pet he's an idiot trying to give Jimmy that, he told me he's back...I proceeded to watch him win a set and not miss a single shot or safety, only problem is playing that good the score was still 7-5 or 7-6...Jimmy is too good for that type of game.
