I hate to say it, but Shane doesn't even look like he's caught his top gear yet. Earl showed some flashes though, and I sure hope he brings it strong tomorrow.
Yeah me too.....I would love to see him come out the gate super strong tomorrow...he played a couple of not so strong safes and lost a couple of safety battles that cost him a few games.

It sure can change the momentum of someone and highly effect the outcome of the match.

I feel like SVB is too hot right now, but it would be great to see Earl deliver some heat.

Cheers,
RC

I just got home couldn't watch tonight. Where did Shane make all those 10's on the break?

All of them went in the side off a kick. Ten ball never move more than 5 feet

Shane got lucky!

That's what Earl kept saying. An old friend once told me "The harder I work, the luckier I get". Shane made a believer out of Earl tonight. He's a fine role model for any young player who gets a chance to see him. Way to go Shane, pool needs someone to set a good example. I wish Earl the best, I'm sure he's going through some tough times. He did the same thing Shane is doing back in the day.

i saw shane the other morning at our pool hall here in town in louisville and he is amazing. he sit there and broke everytime and was making the second ball of the 10 ball break all most all the time and the control of cueball was amazing. he is not throwing his body into it but using his arm strength for the break

Shane is a great player and will be for a long time. I just wish he had a little more pazzazz in front of the camera. Pool could use that about now. I guess he lets his game do the talking for him. Johnnyt

I just started watching the dvd's of the Duell match. He reminds me of Archer; tall, thin, picking imaginary lint off the cloth . As good as any pro out there, but I don't sense a phenom like so many people suggest. He is just a pro who happens to be peaking, they all looked like phenoms when they were peaking.
And yes, he most definitely could use some more "pazzazz".

Earl was an a-hole to the crowd and SVB. He tried to shark SVB with his comments (maybe he doesn't know about the hearing thing) and was in a sad mental state 90% of the night. He said something like he doesn't know what he (SVB) is doing after SVB kicked him safe yet again...he said someone in the crowd had a dumba$$ mentality...he told svb and everyone that he is breaking better than SVB...it went on & on.

I hope he gets his head straight tonight or this ones over.

he was very rude both times that I met him.....

This is why I have no respect for him..... Everyone tells this same story about Earl........ Sad, because he still may be the most talented 9 ball player ever

It is sad, because he seems real nice off the table. I think Phil Helmuth (or however you spell his name) of poker fame must be his long lost brother. I still would like to see him win however, I like Earl despite his antics.
