US Open 08/18-23

Chua cost himself two games with a bad safety. Another bad safety let Pescj keep going. Then a Chua scratch. Getting interesting.

Haven’t seen him play this good in a long time, if ever. His last three matches have been incredibly dominant.

the only thing to his detriment i would say is the lack of tv table time (zero). other than that he can take it. he plays extremely aggressive, but i have yet to see him miss an attacking option

Niels sometimes seems like he’s 7 feet tall and 300 pounds of chiseled muscle. Love seeing him at his best. Not sure he’s always gotten credit for being the great player he is. Amazing what he does with 100% of one eye and just 10% of the other due to a genetic defect.

Chua has been pure dynamite too, but his safety play just cost him a rack.

Seeing vintage Ko too, and Shaw losing his composure. Again.
He's a taller guy for pro pool at about 6'-6'1" or so, but he seems even bigger on TV.

I think his stance makes him look bigger. It's such an aggressive, athletic stance.

yes i've been saying this for a long time. he kicks like a monster (makes sense since vietnam was 3C territory when he grew up), banks well, jumps great, and has a very measured "two stroke" cue action. his safety play isn't bad but i assume what's missing is percentage play, opting for attack too much. idk
Again too risky safe cost him. I think play that safe another side of ball and send 2 ball on end rail and cant leave open shot... Now jump was easy to Michael..

Baoanon won, but Matchroom screwed up the scoring. These errors are inexcusable. I would feel for those who are not viewing the stream and relying solely on refreshing the brackets.

first practice stroke for alignment, second stroke with pause for speed and measure, i'm not sure it's a bad approach. i've tried it but i'm so stuck in my three stroke PSR it's hard to try new things. doesn't tor lowry teach something similar to DQH?

either way it's not what's commonly derided as "two stroking"
He's become of my favorite players. Disappointed he fell today but the margins are so slim at this level. That match had some high quality safety battles.
