US Open (9 ball) 2024, August 19-24, Atlantic City

Ugh:( I’m in Cancun on the long taxi drive to the airport to return home and just bought DAZN. There is no pool on it:(

The first Matchroom US Open did have clocks on every table, IIRC. The problems were getting that many volunteers (basically) and the associated costs. Unless you go to chess clocks you're looking at 50 or 60 extra staff.
It's my recollection there were 32, plus the referees. Scorekeepers were given stopwatches, racked and scorekeep for the players. All issues escalated to the referees; Leyman, Schulman, Eckardt.

I was part of that crew, there were only 32 of us, plus the referees. We were given stopwatches, racked and scorekeep for the players. All issues escalated to the referees.
So you had no real breaks? I thought there were 32 tables.

Fedor gets every roll versus Neils just like his prior 2 sets.

Niels says he doesn’t consider himself a full pro anymore. Maybe the “I’m here for the ride and to have a good time” takes some of the pressure off and he freewheels his way to victory?

I’m rooting for SVB though. 6 US Opens might not be something we see again for a long time. The talent field is so deep and strong now the odds of repeat victories seem much harder to come by to me.
I read that in his voice, then added a “This post was brought to you by Longoni cues” for good measure.
