US Open 9-ball updates thread..

I don't know if he has played enough to have a FargoRate - I guess there is a minimum number of matches/racks to be played. I think 720-740 is a reasonable guess. If he does learn from this, plays more often and shakes off the lack of composure when way behind in a winner breaks format, then he could creep up above 750. Hypothetically, if he gave up snooker and dedicated himself to pool then maybe 780-790 but beyond that the proof could only be in the pudding.

I don't think he'd have to give up snooker. He did what he did with very little prep time, and a little bit of practice with Boyes prior to the tournament. They weren't allowed to practice between matches, so he was literally learning on the go.

Obviously MR will be inviting him to play in the UK Open next year. It starts on May 17th, and the World Snooker Championship ends on May 2nd. So depending on how far he goes in that event, he'll have a minimum of 2 weeks to practice. Plus whatever time between now and then he has to spare.

Agreed. He can certainly improve. He appears to enjoy the challenge for sure.

Glad to see Shane take down Albin.

for once i agree with the featured matches on table 1 and 2:

svb vs yapp (t1)
orcullo vs he (t2)
biado vs alcaide (t1)
sanchez ruiz vs oi (t2)

morra vs chua could be a great match as well.
grabe should win against edgie, fedor and lechner are favorites in their matches too, imo.

Would you watch Mieszko beating Joshua in LQ and the way he played you might not count him as an underdog against Max;).
Single elimination and matches on the finish line is a whole different story anyway so let the one ready to show his best at the right moments win.
