The Player Agreement is pretty interesting.
The previous winners get free entry but are required to put up the entry fee as a sign of commitment. There's lots of stuff about logos.
The players can have up to four logos of their own choice. They do have to wear the logo of the primary sponsor and it is not allowed to be crowded.I knew that was coming. When player sponsors starting getting free advertisement how is that right when the promoter
is trying to pay his bills? Free isn't good if its hurting someone else that paid for it.

Just checked rates at Hard Rock on the boardwalk for the same week and prices start at $135.If you enter it, it's a requirement that you stay at Harrahs as well. They give you a "discounted" rate of $150 per night.
This sounds like a terrible deal to me. Would would someone close enough to drive there, stay there? I don't understand this logic beyond trying to wrangle as much $$$ possible out of each and every player. You can book a room there tonight for only $65.....
If it’s a cuemaker I know one player who won’t sign up.Who is the primary sponsor?

I'd bet folding money that, if it is a cuemaker, it's not the one you're thinking of.If it’s a cuemaker I know one player who won’t sign up.
I called beforehand and was quoted a price something like that for parking. It turned out to be $10 or $15 per day, depending on the day. I have come to the conclusion that it is not possible to get a straight answer from casinos.... Another issue at Harrah's Atlantic City is that if you have a car, you'll be charged to park there, about $30 a day unless you are a Diamond or Seven Stars rated gambler, in which case it's free.
Yes, but, per Pat Fleming, the cost of producing an event in a major American city is very prohibitive these days, so it seems unlikely that Matchroom will do so anytime soon.I called beforehand and was quoted a price something like that for parking. I did like Harrah's prices and food better than the Rio's, but I would not stay at either place except to attend an event. Matchroom's London events are nice because an entire great city is available when you're not at the tournament.

Agreed about London. If I add up all the trips I've made there, I've probably spent over ten years of my life there, and I'm still discovering new things about the city and its surrounding neighborhoods.
Thanks Bob. Wolfy is in! I guess. See you all there…..Entries for the US Open (9B) 2022 have just opened:

In the past it has filled fairly quickly.
It's been weak for 50+ years. Self respecting hookers wont even be seen there.I just looked at a map and disagree.
But yeah, AC is pretty weak.
Damn! It was open 2 hours ago.Matchroom just posted on Facebook they’re sold out again. I may not agree with everything they do but they sure know how to sell the sizzle.
From a Matchroom press release:Damn! It was open 2 hours ago.
This is wonderful. Logistics aside, there's a side of me that believes they could sell out a field of 1,024 if they really had to do so.From a Matchroom press release:
Pool’s most historic tournament sells out entries in under 24 hours with 256 players set to descend on the East Coast of the USA at Harrah’s Resort, Atlantic City.
Farther along it says:
Tickets will go on priority sale to Matchroom Pool Club members on Tuesday 19, April with General Sale tickets on sale from Tuesday, April 26. Fans will also be able to take advantage of our exclusive hotel room rate at Harrah’s Resort, Atlantic City.
Pool Club memberships are free and there doesn't seem to be any associated spam.
