US Open 9B October, 2022 -- Atlantic City

Greg houge into round of 64
That's an amazing accomplishment, though tempered by his very friendly draw:

Greg Romero (657) - won 9-3
Pia Filler (668) - won 9-6
Jesus Atencio (782) - lost 9-4
Chris Alexander (730) - won 9-4

There won't be many (any?) other <750 types left in the round of 64 for him to match up against.

Shane mentioned a redraw happening later tonight on a Facebook post. So I guess there’s a good chance we won’t see a Filler/Gorst matchup as early as originally though.

All 25x 800 qualify and made it to last 64. So no big upsets or early elimination of top players.
These 800s who qualify from losers side will be drawn to play the winners side winners in last 64 so we will see fireworks and big matches tomorrow

Which brings up a little wrinkle. In the listing of prize money, there are two amounts listed for the 32 people who lose in the next round. It seems the payouts were designed for a longer double-elimination phase.

Could someone please post the proper link to view Table 1
on Facebook...?? I've tried every search title I can think of and
none of them take me to the "live" tournament action...!!!
THANK YOU.

Best advice I can give you is go to Facebook, search for "Matchroom Pool", click on the result for their page (will have a "Sports Event" label under the name - NOT one of the links listed under "Groups"), then scroll down until you see the video post with a red "LIVE" flag in the upper left corner.

Because of the event's popularity, you're going to see related FB posts with all sorts of misleading, fraudulent links in their comments. Ignore them all.

it's amazing to see how international it is even in the knockout stage. kuwait is pretty strong per capita.

Geez, these past few days has been brutal watching this tournament. Too many boring one sided matches but at least the commentary has been great on the facebook table. I do not agree with it being single elimination races to 9 for the last 64, but whatever.
