Us open bar table championships...go jose "amang" parica!!!

Whoa I never said he's not good, he's a monster. I just don't enjoy watching him play. He hit one of my buddies with a well timed break before while he was in trouble and didn't come back until the very last second of the break. He's got a lot of moves.

With that said I agree he's one of the best on the bar table no doubt about that. "Atwell in Reno" is a common phrase nowadays and I think he's on the poster for the event.

I still dislike him but yes he's a champion 100%. When I say dislike him I strictly mean as a pool player he's probably a great guy and family man.

Understood. He is really a nice guy. I'm sure he is using the rules to help improve his situation. And i too have players i can't stand as pool players, trust me.

"Atwell in Reno", I like it. I wonder how i get a phrase like that??? Oh yeah, it's called "get way freakn better at pool and then start roling folks". I'm way out of luck.

Yes, I do understand why its hard to watch him sometimes. His methodical style is superior, and yes, sometimes a slow process. But thats what makes Glenn Atwell one of the best BB players in the country.
Gotta love him!!!!!

I usually bring a book along when I play scotch with him. :D
(I am sooo kidding. Glenn is like a brother to me. I love him dearly)

Cmon Mr Atwell. You are still in the all-around!!!!! Lets get it done!!!!!

Congratulations Mr Parica!!!!! Not too shabby at 60. Good Luck in the all around too!!!!!

Ahem!!

Jose Parica - The best player not in the HOF!
Don't get me started on the HOF again Jay! Last time you know what happened. I almost got run off AZ after only about 10 posts!!:D
Also,Glenn Atwell was always a contender at the BCA Championships in the early 90's. Great Player!!

I took a small bite to see how it tasted. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

The Filipinos that worked for me in Ohio told me that balut would make their sex drive last longer. (in their words, "rock hard"). Never had the desire to try it, but they would bring it in occasionally for lunch.

Maybe the description of it had something to do with it. :D:D:D

Thanks....based on that, I'll take the operative word "never". To have even tried makes you a better man then I and, in the words of Lily Tomlin, "That's The Truth!"

Glenn is one of those hard working players who gives his all.Not sure what "moves" you are referring to but if taking a break at what he feels is the strategically best time is a move then that is one.I have seen the guy play hundreds of times and I would say he has fewer moves then your average player. His typical demeanor during a match is not to say a single word other then to call safe or call a pocket. This guy always has a smile for his opponent and a hand shake win or lose. GA is a true gentleman pool player IMO.

Glen should come down for the Lafayette, LA tournament which occurs every few months or so. The Calcutta is so huge, they have to have an armored guard protect the cash. Big $$$$$ to be had in Lafayette, LA.
Based upon what you and others said about Glen, I think I would enjoy playing against him (except for the azz whipping part of it).

we filipinos have this saying "balut pang patibay ng tuhod", it means balut makes your knee stronger, so when you do make love, you can do many rounds of ... hahaha, anyway parica is the best in the philippines during late 70's to 80's (thats what ramon "champion" told me, best guy before parica dominates philippine billiards) nobody is better than him in the philippines, i never saw him at his prime too bad for me, i wasn't born yet during his prime LOL , guys when you go to the philippines try SISIG AND KAREKARE
