The Japan Open pays $10K and is smaller tourney than All Japan which now pays less than $15K. With drop in prizemoney ,fewer Euros go to All Japan which is the oldest tourney and biggest 10 ball tourney.
China used to have a few 9 ball events per year paying $25-$30K but recently number of events dropped and prizemoney also dropped . The recent Pengzhou event that Ko Pin Yi won paid about $15K for winner. The recent new event 2 weeks ago in Guri Korea pays about $25K for winner but I doubt it will continue for many years .
Decent size tourneys are almost non existent in Philippines and Taiwan now . Last big tourneys were the Pacquiao events in 2015. The drop in $$ and number of events in Asia resulting in
more and more Asian players going to play in events like US Open in past few years .Euro events are plenty but they mostly pay low like only $1K or less than $5K Biggest payout is probably $10K for winner. If a player has sponsorship or some regular income from somewhere , playing in Europe tour will be awesome training ground since the caliber of players is so much higher than few years ago
By and large , US still has most tourneys and decent payouts than anywhere else.

The World Cup of Pool pays 60K to the winning team (30K each!). The overall winner at DCC each year usually wins in the neighborhood of 45-50K!

As a point of reference, I just had a conversation with a friend who is producing a local tourney in the Philippines in December and first prize is 200,000 pesos (about $4,000). Entry fee is only 1,000 pesos ($20) and he expects to draw a full field of 128 players. I guarantee you there will be some unknown (to us) killers in that field. Guys like Dennis, Warren, Lee Vann and Carlo don't have to win!

Isn't the Mosconi Cup 10k/player for the losing team and 20k/player for the winning team, or has that changed (or was it never that way and I am just remembering wrong)?
