US Open May Provide Strongest Final Four Ever!

Well, Kiamco ruined the dream final four of Alcano, Immonen, Archer and Morris. But how about Kiamco's run?

If Kiamco, perhaps not even one of the ten best of the Filipino professional pool players, manages to snap this event off, he will have done it by beating these seven players in his last seven matches:

Tony Chohan
Daryl Peach
Lee Van Corteza
Rodney Morris
Johnny Archer
Ronnie Alcano
Mika Immonen

Will order be restored or will Kiamco pull off this "upset for the ages?"

I think it would be somewhat surprising, but I would hesitate to call it the "upset for the ages".

It has been reported here on this forum that he has won a gambling match with SVB in the Philippines, race to 25 10-ball, and he won it rather convincingly. Didn't he also recently dominate a gambling match with Batram giving up the 8 in 10-ball? So Warren's ability is definitely world class, though it is fair to remark on his lack of consistency in big tournaments. But again, I wouldn't be too surprised if he wins the whole thing from here. With the talent of these final four, it's a crap shoot from here.

Are the finals still a true dbl elim final?

No. The top player from the loser side just has to beat the player in the hot seat (race to 13) once to be the champion.
