Anyone have a pick for who is going to win the US Open this year? Here are mine

1. Thorston Hohman
2. Shane Vanboening - even though no one has ever won it twice in a row with the exception of Nick Varner 1989-1990.
3. Rodney Morris or Johny Archer - For dark horse!

Pretty risky to omit the Philippinos in any tournament unless you know they will not be there. That being said I think Shane is the man to beat in spite of the repeat history.

I think that Efren and Alex are the only Phillipinos to have won the US Open.

Aside from those two, Ralf, and maybe Mike LeBron, the rest of the US Open champions have all been Americans (US Citizens).

I say, an American wins it!

I will say someone that wasn't born in the U.S. will win this year.

If Ronnie Alcano shows up.. He will win IMO

My educated guess would have to be the US. Only three players outside of the US have ever won the US Open. Alex (2005) from Canada, Ralph (2002) Germany and Efrin (1994) Philippines. I guess you could say that some out side of the US is due! Thorston is still my pick. Go Germany?

18 out of 21 that is pretty strong. What about Earl? 5 time US Open Champion?

Raj Hundal is an improving player who has an outside chance as he has been playing quite consistantly in the USA. He is one foreign player who has the capabilities to win this US open championship.

I think this will be Corey's year. He has been playing real good lately. JMHO Corey and Shane in the finals.

I would love to see Neil Fujiwara win it! He has had a tough year with the injuries. Plus Neil had a great 13th place finish back a couple of years ago and had a great finish this weekend in Savanah. Not to mention Neils a good friend :)
