US Open stream...............

Here's my take on Siming.

She plays perfect, just about as often as any player her speed is supposed to play perfect. The main difference is that she doesn't seem to be affected in those rare occurrences she makes a mistake.

Take the 2 big mistakes against Ellerman.

1. Miscue on the 8 in one rack.
2. Bad shape on the 9 in another, which caused her to miss a very thin cut down the rail.

She didn't seem to be rattled by either and was just business as usual at her next opportunity. Now image if most other players made those mistakes. Pretty sure most would go to their chair and slouch and look miserable. I just don't see that in her, and that's why I think she has a good chance to make a run.

Is it settled that this will be the most difficult tournament to win in professional pool this year?
More than the world championship in Qatar?

More entrants...higher average Fargo rate (I'm assuming, not researched).

It appears on face value, Matchroom took the US Open to the highest level of rotation pool in the world.
Congrats to them. Very impressive.

Agree. The stream has been awesome. I'm glad one of my kids let me use their Facebook account. Matchroom has done a great job here...except for that trophy. It is UGLY as hell.

I agree with everything except I like the single elimination final 64 I think it's a tougher road in the end ,, , they have done a good job I'd like to see viewership in the final 16 because as of now it's nothing impressive, Roys Basement gets what we have seen so far

they say it'll be in a different arena. i'm guessing to allow more spectators? it'll be interesting to see how many are in attendance

I certainly wouldn’t have put B.B. name on it.

This event definitely has the feel of a world nine ball championship. The elite internationals have shown up in a big way and it has brought this event to a level once unimaginable.

So far, so good, but there's a lot of pool left to be played. The last sixteen standing are sure to consist of a who's who of pool.

It's so refreshing to see this event produced by a well-funded, professional organization and being played at a nice casino.

What is the in-person spectating experience like so far?

Lot more names eliminated.

ELIMINATED

It is hard to choose among the matches -- too many good ones simultaneously.

My main viewing complaint is that the seats are not elevated except for the seats around the streaming table. It's really hard to see positions when your head is almost even with the bed of the table.

Shaw just missed his first shot going for the 2-ball in the fifth rack.

Deuel down 4-0.
