There are some good canadian players playing in the open but do they have a chance to win?

Jason Klatt is playing his best pool this year and i like his chance of winning it.The rest of them, chances are very slim.

The current Canadian snooker champion has an outside chance.....

...I mean, like, wtf man...he already has a win and a second in it

I don't think Jason's wife has entered this year.......
...can you imagine Jason and Sarah meeting in the finals....
..loser does the dishes?

of course PT...he has a better chance.i am just not sure of which he is representing this time?

Klatticus is always a threat and is due for a big break through win. Morra is another one who can beat anybody on any given day. If you count The Lion as Canadian then I would say Americas' hat has a good stable of horse's to root for.

<----Just kidding about the hat thing.

America's hat isn't so bad...
Mordecai Richler called Canada 'America's attic'
A Canuck comedian, John Wang, said the only difference between a
Canadian and an American is...one has a gun, the other has a health card

we need Tyler Edey back

The Shognosh bros are starting okay at the Open.
Harvey wins his first round 11-3.
His kid brother, Pahadsong, took a little longer to win 11-9.....
...but he was playing the legendary Jose Parica....:clapping:

Jessie Piercy won 11-10....against his co-pilot, James Holland....
..he better keep his next opponent in his chair if he wants to win.....
....the Pearl can play a little.

Canadians who are playing on 3 round A-side :

  • pahdahsong shognosh
  • Jason Klatt
  • Ryan Sollevald
  • Alex Pagulayan

Klatt is listed as "USA"
Alex is representing the Philippines

Not going for this, Ghosst.

Jason Klatt was born and raised in Winnepeg......
..and he IS the current Canadian 10-ball champion.

..and Alex is the current Canadian snooker champion....
..he was listed in the early entries as 'Canada' and has a Canuck passport.

As a matter of fact, I think we should claim Sarah Rousey now.

sooo, whether Alex and Jason stay on the 'A' side or not.....
...they are definitely on the 'EH' side.

I only reported what I saw, debate as you see fit.

I wonder what's in the drinking water in Winnipeg.....
..that city has been producing top players for almost a century.

Winnipeg is over-represented at the US Open with Jason Klatt and
Ryan Solleveld still on the A side and Erik Hjorleifson on the B.
Erik is a world class player who has yet to make his mark...but he's got
all the parts.

maybe it is mixed with a little bit of water from the Philippines

I am sure there are more players out there who can play good pool.I hope we can see Edwin Montal in the line up again.

Jaypee....I think Brittany has been drinking some of that water...
..she's on the hill with Ernesto at 6

..and what's this 'proud to be a Filpino' stuff...you didn't make some clever decision to be one..it was luck of the draw.
You are 'blessed' to be a Filipino.

Brittany beat Ernesto 11-7.....that broad has heart.

Looks like, according to his current match, they corrected it and listed him as, "Canada". The original entry as, "USA" is here, as #119. Jim did say he's going to be playing for USA in the near future.

Good to see Canada being represented well at any rate.

I was impressed by Jessie Piercy at the Open....didn't know he played that well....his record was 4 wins - 2 losses....if you were betting on him you
would have shown a profit.....and a respectable 11-9 final loss to Deshaine.

And Hjorleifson's record was 6 and 2...his time will come

So I'm slow, but I finally checked out the forums. For all of you Canadian fans, I didn't steal Jason from Canada, he will always claim Canadian citizenship and never play for the US. He just has residency here in the States. Once a Canadian, always a Canadian I suppose.

Good to hear, it is not like we have a large stable of horses to root for, we freaking need Klatt. Hell we need Alex back too.

I would settle for 60-70 degrees in the winter but still fly the Maple Leaf. Now I just need to sucker (err, convince) someone to adopt me.
