Is it a big secret why Sky was not there? Johnnyt
I believe they said during the match he was with his ailing Grandmother.

Thank you for the answer...if not making a joke. Johnnyt
Am I correct in assuming today's session starts at 11:30am on the east coast?
Im generally a smartass... but not this time. The commentators mentioned it during the first match.
lol the US is behind going into the last day tomorrow. It’s very apparent that they just can’t win. It’s them, it’s not who they’re playing.
6-4 with one more match to go today.
So, if USA loses to Russia in this event, what does that do to the moral of Team USA before they face Team EU in the real deal?
Does it build their confidence before the MC?
Do they learn how to play as team more effectively?
Russia was up 4-3 (race to 5) and breaking. They scratched on the break, US ran out the open table, and then made the 9 on the break in the next game. US wins 5-4.
6-5 going into tomorrow. Should have been 7-4.
Thanks for the update.
Very close.
Team Russia was coached by Johann before this, and from what little I've seen, their mental discipline and ability to come with it when out of line is really impressive.
If team USA can reach that level, there's no telling what the result will be.
Lord, I wish there was a film crew following Johann around in the practice room and before and after match comments.
The pool wisdom/instruction is probably second to none.
Considering how poorly US has done in international team events (past the last one where SVB and Sky got 2nd), being at 6-4 now is not bad. Although they are losing to a couple of 17 yr olds LOL
I want that man to coach me in life.
