Well yeah considering the way things were going Team USA must be delighted they didn't lose. Sometimes I feel like I am winner and also get irritated when people inform me that in fact I am not. That doesn't make them nitpickers. LOL
I would imagine that the stronger players on both teams would come out feeling like winners and the ones that didn't compete that well might not share the same feelings. I am not sure you can say that 6 individuals would feel the same way about it just because they are on the same team.
I feel that the way that certain posters have used the term win is not because they sincerely believe it was a win in any sense but just to bait others into a stupid argument.
I am beginning to sort of wonder if it wasn't all fixed for this scenario to happen in the first place. The proud people on the USA side can say they won and the Europeans can feel happy they didn't lose again. I guess it is sort of a win-win situation in that respect. The clear loser would have to be anybody that put any amount of money to travel any sort of distance to see such a futile endeavor.
I guess at least it wasn't as predictable as it has been in previous years. It was like having sex without achieving an orgasm is the only way I can sum the event up.
Do you really know what it feels like to have sex without orgasm??
