This is the first Storm machine ever made. I have removed a few compnants from this machine to reduce the cost. It will need a spindle motor, cnc controller, and a motor for the taig spindle for live turning. I can add these items for an additional cost.
This machine has a travle of about 40" in the X, 8" in the Y, and 6" in the Z axes. Depending on the controller and software used both the X and Y axis can run up to 150 ipm. Both the X and Y axes have ball screws and ball nuts and the Z axis has the standard Taig colum with leadscrew.
I would prefer sell this machine to someone that does have an idea of what they are doing. I will offer some tech support however I am not willing to teach someone how to make cues. I will of course provide help with setup of Mach3 and I am very familiar with Bobcad v23. I would be happy to provide a few programs that where written for the machine including taper programs and point cutting programs. Mach 3 will need to be purchased.
Selling price is $3,500 plus shipping. Machine is being sold As is with no returns though it functions correctly. Local pick up is prefered so that I can show buyer how to use. If items need to be added to machine, I will do so at a reasonable cost.
thanks, Jim.
