Appreciate the info but have already sent messages to that EMail 3 times over the past month with no reply.
If he's in Iowa he may be having to deal with the flooding issues there. Almost every county has been declared a disaster area in that state. IMHO.

Still trying to contact Andy. His full name is: Andrew Rounceville. I think he is located in Wellman, IA. Have tried messages on here but his mailbox has been full for months. Have tried his regular EMail a number of times and also a phone number I found on here with no response. Any help in contacting this guy is appreciated. I paid him $520. via Paypal for a Display Case in April 2008 and have not heard a word since. I am ready to take action with PayPal and open a case with local authorities here and in IA but would like to avoid this. He seemed like such a nice, honest guy. Again if anybody knows him please have him contact me here or at vin@logicset.com. Thank You...

Man, this one really bothers me a lot. I have had several contacts with Andy about these cases, and he seemed like a really great, up-standing person. All I can say is that I hope everything is OK with him...difficult to understand why he would not contact you, though.

You have to do the things that will protect you. Sad, but true. Best of luck.

I bought a case from Andy

last year and this was my experience also. I did end up getting the case and it is very nice, but his communication skills are pretty much non-existent. After having to bug him over and over about when I was gonna get the case he sent it without the keys to open the locks. I had to bug him over and over again to get the keys.

Again, I DID get the case and it IS nice, but he is in no hurry to get them to his customers and customer service is completely lacking.

Mike

Good luck with him.

On 5-19-08 he posted about having a case on ebay that was closing in an hour. I saw the post, won the auction & paid via Paypal to his arounceville@hotmail.com address within 5 minutes.

I never was able to contact him. But since he seemed well respected here on AZ, & had a 100% feeback rating on ebay, I wasn't too worried. Shortly thereafter, that area of the country was hit with some bad storms & flooding, so I wasn't too concerned when I still hadn't got the case a few weeks later. I ended up waiting too long & giving him the benefit of doubt. Now it's way too late to file a claim with ebay.

If he can't or doesn't want to send the case, I'd just be happy to get my $268.50 back.

I feel the same way. He was displaying some of his cases at a show and then had five of the demos on here. I bought one of them for $520. Just would like to get my money back at this point. He said I would have it in two weeks. I am a BCA instructor and was going to put the case in my instruction room. Even told him I would put a stack of his cards near the case where the students pass by. Tried to be very patient. He seemed like a great guy. Now waiting over 3 months. Sorry that you had a problem with him also.

I have purchased a large case from him also. Last I spoke to him, he was having some serious personal issues. It took approximately 4 months to get the display case and another 2 weeks to get keys. I paid $650 with shipping but was pleased with the product. I've waited a lot longer for a custom cue being built!

I was very close to buying a case from him, but his lack of communication to finalize the deal probably saved me from donating $400+ bucks to him and getting nothing in return.

I think from now on I'll just go to Valley Forge and buy my stuff right from the vendors there. At least you know you're not going to get screwed.

I guess all it took was a little AZ motivation. My case arrived today in perfect condition. It was shipped via UPS on 7-21-08, the same day as my first post.

Thank you Andrew for making good on this deal.

Hope people see these before they spent $600 on the cases he's selling now.

Not so they won't purchase from him but so they will be informed of past problems.

I think anyone thinking of buying one of his cases could have done the research themselves very quickly without having someone else drag up a very old thread.

I recently purchased a case from andy, and yes i did come across that thread but could not find ANYONE he ripped off. My case was shipped within a couple of days when he said and is absolutely beautiful.

How recently did this transaction occur?

I bought a case from him on Oct. 15th. Paid via PayPal on the 15th.
PM'd him on the 20th asking for a tracking number.
Got no response.
PM'd again on the 24th and 29th.
Again no response.
Emailed him on the 29th with no response.
Filed a PayPal dispute on the 30th.
Haven't gotten a response.

He was very quick to reply when I was inquiring about buying the cabinet, but as soon as I sent Payment, that was the last I heard from him.

And he has been signing on to the forums quite regularly.

I recently purchased a second cabinet from Andy. Sept 2009 (Yes, after the first experience, I was a little hesitant.)

Relatively smooth transaction.

Only issue was the packaging was damaged and the glass was missing.

When I say the glass was missing, I mean not a trace. (I think the shipping company cleaned it out) Can't remember if it was UPS or Fed Ex.

I replaced the glass myself at a cost of about $14.

I did send e-mails about the glass to Andy, but did not receive a reaponse.

His communication needs improvement.

Give the guy a chance to make it right. I believe he will. His cases are beautiful.

Scruffy of course your free to post your opinion, as I am, but I will just ignore your advice.

If this guy whom posted above (Highlanduh) saw these old threads I dragged up he would of been saved his $.

This is happening to a lot of people lately, I've seen many many people complain about paying and never receiving anything, not a response to one of 20 messages, or a cabinet, or if they do its damaged terribly. Guy above me received one without glass. Someone else received one without a backing and the front was totaled. Many don't receive one at all and never get in contact with him again, a select few receive one.

He never responds even to threads of people asking to empty his pm box or answer their messages when he's logging on and almost surely looking right at the thread.

Communication is apart of business, and he shouldn't be in it if he can't be honest, and communicate.

So I will drag up threads as much as I please in order to help others see them and then make their own decision.
