Tracking says delivered , a day ago
Its not

Which branch of the post office do you call
Any hope I see my package or just forget about the money I lost and move on?
This has never happened to me before

It probably was and a helpful neighbor grabbed it. Registered mail/signature confirmation is the only guarantee against lost packages in this manner.

Sometimes they deliver to the wrong address.
If you get lucky, a good neighbor will return it or deliver it to you.
Or you could walk to each of your close neighbors and ask.

Just happened to me last week. Says delivered , customer says they never got it. This was a $1200.00 package. I go to the post office where I sent it and had them check the tracking. They can actually see more then you can.

They see it says delivered also. They give me a phone number at the post office that the carrier works out of that delivered the package. Not just a customer service number but his actual supervisor.

I call, tell the guy the story, he says give me your number and I will call you back. The next day I take another look at the tracking and bingo, the package is on the move again. I call the guy back and he says he was just about to call me.

He said as soon as he talked to me he texted the driver and had him track down the package. He said they got the package back and got it on it's way to the customer. I called the customer later in the day and they had the package.

The important thing is to get the right contact number, you want to speak the the supervisor of the mail person who actually handled the package. Your package is not lost it was delivered to the wrong address.

I shipped a package to Washington on the 8th.Post office said it would be there on the 11th.Tracking says it left Jacksonville fl on the 8th and it has disappeared. I called today and they said they have no clue where it is, luckily it wasn`t a cue but it was heavy and cost me $35 to ship.
Last year I ordered side windows for a car I have and they were shipped from texas to me here in florida but someone in the post office decided they needed to go to Puerto rico first. It took over a month for them to arrive

Use registered mail. As far as what branch and who to call, your letter carrier should be able to tell you that.

If it turns out to be mail theft you could call the postal inspection service in Houston and they will do a mail theft report but if you had no insurance and didn't use registered mail you most likely won't get the cue or money.

Nah, nobody pays any attention to my dog. I've posted the same thing multiple times - nobody is listening.
