In Eric's initial post he stated that he had been to the expo the previous eleven years, it's not as if he flew to VF and spent his hard earned cash for the sole purpose of seeking out FL. I'm quite positive what happened resulted from the two of them being in the wrong place at the wrong time and that Eric went to the expo with the intention of having a blast, not starting fights.
On a brighter note, it's great to hear that everyone who attended this years event had a great time, the Hopkins sure know how to do things right!
Beating on a 63 year old man "Fast Larry" - Shame on you!

I don't jump into these types of forums. But people that hit a 63 year old man (Larry was born in 1943) regardless of what has been said of you in the past - Shame on you.
Be it also known that in the fall of 2005 (not very long ago) he feel off a ladder and broke some ribs, then this winter he also had an eye injury, and infection in the eye, then he had other health problems leading to surgery in December. Plus Larry has other health problems. All that makes for a frail Larry.
I thought it took alot of guts to come out to an event after so many health problems.
Yet all that aside just hitting a 63 year old man was enough in my up bringing to get the "do do" kicked out of you by witnesses or others hearing of you hitting a 63 year old. You are not a hero in my book, but even so Jesus still loves you.
I will add you to my prayers.

Hopkins should jump on this oppourtunity to get this mess off the show floor by booking the 2 of them for an exhibition cage fight next year - I'd pay to see that.

I am not trying to get involved, just wanting to get a visual picture of this incident.
But, if I was Eric, I would not have posted the events here. Sounds like Fast Larry & the Valley Forge police department would be very happy to press civil & assault charges, respectively. Besides the fact that from the posts I have read by Larry on other boards, he seems like he easily could go 'postal' the next time he sees Eric.

If someone were to make racist comments to me on here, that is the same as saying them to my face. Then to make threats to people on here is worse then in person because now there is proof of what was said. FL had every right to get hit, frankly it should have been worse.

Technically this has nothing to do with Pool except the fact that it happened at a pool event and the comments were exchanged on a pool forum. This has nothing to do with the game what-so-ever. Baseball players get in fights and charge to mounds all the time. Why isnt baseball in such bad shape?
Trying to say this gives pool a bad name is absurd. No one outside of pool knows who fast larry is and no one outside and a lot of people inside know who Eric is (no offense Eric). Something like this will have no effect on pool nor does it represent pool in anyway. They both just happen to be pool players.

I see what you mean however, if it were up to me I would see to it that severe penalties are imposed for fighting. Sportsmanship seems to have flown out the window of all the sports you mentioned. There are a lot of people that thrive on this type of thing.. sad but true.Peer said:
