Value of a cue

"there MIGHT be one or two, but like I said I grew up in Nevada and I'd wager... (HA HA) that I have seen more of them than you have. "

Just b/c you grew up in Nevada doesn't mean you know about gambling and gamblers.

If you grew up in a area with a lot of whore houses would you then say all women are whores?

Your argument is just stupid. And I agree with the other poster that you may have some jealousy issues when it comes to what other people own.

You might be right, but I pride myself on playing ANYBODY, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE.

I should take their cues, your right, but I don't gamble, ever

I don't have religious or otherwise bullsh*t reason why,

Save for the fact that THE GAMBLERS are the #1 reason no one respects pool.

Gamblers are shady people with shady motives who will lie and steal and cheat till they win.

There is no such thing as a straight game with a gambler.

I grew up in Nevada and from day one I was taught that gambling is how WE fleece the tourists.

Gambling at pool is just dice with a rigged cup especially when playing 9-ball.

i love to gamble and have never done any of these things to get the cash...dont know what your problem is but you dont have to say all gamblers are like this!! sounds like to me you are a family man..well i know a lot of family men that are losers so i guess ill put you in that category!!!

Next time you put a cue on Ebay, make sure you state you won thousands with it.
That should add to the value of the cue.
Kinda like a rifle that killed more deer.

I Love it!

I am sorry you don't agree, however it doesn't make it any less true.

I hardly ever lie when talking about gambling.

I think this is one of the greatest lines ever. So how are we supposed to tell when you are lying or not. LOL. Anytime you say something it could be one of those "hardly" times.
But seriously, who cares what some kid or anyone says about you because you don't have a $2,500 cue. You might say you don't care but it is painfully obvious you do care or this thread would have never been started. Anyways JMHO.

Are you smoking crack? If you run table after table on these "punks" with expensive cues, I have several by the way, then you make no sense. I can understand if you have mental troubles playing under the pressure of money, but to say that they're rigged? How exactly do you rig a nineball game? You just agree on the rules up front and if they don't want to pay you beat it out of them... hahahaa J.K. Look.... you obviously have some cue envy so get off your high horse and save up the money to buy one. There are a lot of expensive cues that do play better, even if it is just the confidence boost that you get from playing with them that make you feel like they play better.

The majority of this game is mental with attitude playing an important part and if playing with a 2500 cue improves your confidence then good for you. I don't play with my most expensive cue anymore although I did for years although the one I do play with would still be considered a high dollar cue. Hell, the one I break with could be considered a high dollar cue being worth more than 5-600 dollars. I rarely gamble but I do on occasion and when I do I am as honest as can be. I do know some top players that are shady and I know some that are completely forthright. You just have to be careful who you're willing to play and if you play someone who is shady, chock it up to experience.

I also found it kind of funny that you calim not to gamble and then when that guy posted about his new expensive cue you said you would bet him he couldn't beat you? SO now you ARE the guy you were talking about?

I really just guess I don't understand how you make the distinction between someone who buys a cue because they want that cue and someone who buys it to make them feel their game is stronger than it is. I know many players including my brother who bought their high priced cues used, but that doesn't mean that it wasn't custom. If you're willing to shop around until you find exactly what you want, like many people do, and you don't have to wait 9 years to get one from the cue maker, then do it, but that doesn't necesarily make you a little punk?

i have an expensive cue and I suck i made 4 balls in a row once, i throw it around the pool hall when I miss, slap balls off the table with it and dont care, its just a Bushka so does it matter? there are a few hundred left after I break the one I have. I have busted up at least 20 Szams over the past year.

how good you play has nothing to do with respect for the game.

put your money where your mouth is! thats what i say, to this irrate, ranting hater. cool down and relax life doesnt have to be so hard, you seem to have issues with controlling your emotions and forgiveness and holding grudges, ect... jealousy seems to be another problem, it also seems as though you hold a low esteem of yourself, that just because another doesnt aknowledge defeat by you they are a problem, what a selfish think about me only personality...

this is not exactly the nicest post but neither is yours, so if someone doesnt stand up you'll just keep posting and venting everytime you dont get your way, or things dont work out like you want them to.... what a crock, u sound like a child in a mans body throwing a temper tantrum the only diff is, as an adult you can now get away with cussing, ooooh! i'm telling dad on you ! lol-lol-lol-lol i am
