What is the proper way to measure the table? I'm thinking it's actually a 8.5 not a 9ft.
The playing area of a "9 ft" table measures 100" by 50" (measure the slate, not the rails etc).

But yes it's in great shape and the rails bounce nicely. It was included in the sale of a high end home I just purchased. I really like it but I have other needs for the space. Plus I'm not good enough to play on this large of a table, haha!

Table is more likely fro 1974 - def not 1954.

500 is low IMO. Ive seen many in far worse shape go for 500. I take it you are not a pool player by your question. My afvise is keep it. Play on it. But be careful could be addictive.
And this was not some $20 storage auction find. I paid $700k for the house so it hards feels like I got the table for "free" :wink:
