Way to go Shane

Man I picked the wrong year to not go. Hopefully when he takes it this year I can come next year and see him do it again. Being optimistic.
Thanks for the updates.
Best regards, Mike Gatzke
ps. Go Shane!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe there's already an update, but the point match between SVB and Orcollo was one that makes pool fans keep coming back for more. Shane's power looks so effortless. And Dennis is simply unbelievable. Both players are quiet, respectful, and entertaining.

In the entire match, Shane dogged one ball, and missed a missable shot. He kicked in two balls when he was hooked to run out. Once was after an Orcollo safe. The other was also after a safety, but Shane jumped and made a ball and hooked himself to subsequently to luck kick a ball in to run out.

JCIN can confirm, but I believe Dennis failed to break and run his rack no more than three times. He played a couple of safeties on his break, and came up dry one time (they were racking their own). It's absolutely uncanny how many times he had an easy shot to start his rack. He also bombed in three or more balls on the break half the time.

Final result, Dennis broke serve more times than Shane who played nearly flawless. Dennis gains the point.

Dennis is a monster.

If Shane gets out when its 8 to 6 instead of missing the 6, then he is breaking at 8-7. Whole new world there, he is in it. He missed the 6 and it cost him the set.

This is the kind of pool I wish people would get to see. It is amazing.

Both guys are fantastic ambassadors for the sport. All 3 guys in the final rounds are great. Class acts.

The realy good thing for Shane is the TV appearance. On to the next level.

for those of you that are interested - Mike and Shane have started their match and Mike is up 2-0.

Go Shane! I'd like to see a rematch of the winner's bracket final, and I like what I'm hearing about this outstanding young American player!

BigNasty just called. Shane broke and ran at 6-6. Congratulations Shane! That game was worth about an extra $4k!!:)

Thank you to all for the great updates. Is the final match one set, and if so, to what?
