Its actually all Purpleheart with a black stain applied to it. It was Kevins idea to stain it and it looks great. I can't wait until I get it!
I sold my first Purpleheat Varney J/B cue because I owed the Pro a favor from over 20 years ago (he also paid alot more that what I paid for it :smile: ). This Pro thought it was just the best break cue he ever broke with.
I hope this Varney J/B cue breaks and jumps as good as the last one I had. Knowing the way Kevin makes these cues I'M SURE IT WILL!

Its not illegal Bishop. Joey just means it'll give you such an advantage that it should be illegal. Heard from Bob tonight and he was pleased to say that it actually breaks as hard & jumps easier than his earlier one.
Tip for Bob: don't let any Pro's try this one if you owe them favors.:grin:
