Veneers

I've been collecting cues for a long time now. Over the years I've collected all different styles of cues. Box cues, highly ornate cues, etc. I have found myself, however, consistantly returning to the classics. Four, six, and eight pointed cues with veneers. I love veneers. Nothing turns me on more than a full spliced cue with razor sharp, even veneers. I've seen a plethora of combinations in regards to the colors of veneers used on a cue. I was just wondering what everyones favorite combination of veneers is.

I think my favorite...was an ebony pointed cue...with white, purple, blue, and black veneers. It was simply amazing. I'm also a big fan of flame points...with various combinations of yellow, orange, and red.

Surprisingly..I do like orange and green veneers together in a cue. Very complimentary. The black, mahogany and blue is striking too. You have good taste.

My favorite flame veneer is maple, red, orange and maple w/ blackwood or ebony points in a dark wood forearm....a traditional look favorite is maple forearm w/ black, teal, black and green veneers...

here is my current cue, rosewood with black, red, blue, natural.

Hi, Here's some pictures of a couple of full spliced cues I have with veneers. The Ebony one has, Ebony Point, natural, green, yellow and back to ebony. The other one I believe is Lacewood, into Natural, green, orange and Black. Thanks, Greg

Ohhhhhhh I love that Tascarella Myron! What a beauty:)

I also like the red, natural orange yellow combo veneers if the overall cues style is somewhat subtile.

Who is the maker on the two beauties you pic'd Howard/Greg?

I've seen that cue in person....and Myron's Tasc. is a thing of beauty, for sure!!! Very subtle veneer combo, but at the same time, makes a HUGE impact.

Personally, my favorites are:

Black points with maple, blue, red, and black (which are the colors of my John Davis cue, soon to be done)

-or-

Black points with maple, green, orange, and black (which will be on my Carolina Custom, I think)

Have to agree on this being a beauty as well.
There are many out there that are awesome combinations so I hope to see more for a new cue idea.

Let's get it on...
