Hey everyone I just watched the venom trickshots dvd in its entirety.
The dvd costs 29.99 on the runout media site. www.runoutmedia.com.
My first opinion on watching this dvd was that it was extremely well shot and the picture quality alone shows this.
Florian's shot making is unparalleled by anything I have seen in my short years of watching pool, billiards, trickshots, and cue sports as a whole.
Also the woman in the video is strikingly beautiful to look at and seems like she had a great personality during the filming of this video.
The burn marks were incredible on the table to see the amount of friction generated.
*** Guys this is for the most part a positive review. I would not think twice about recommending this disk to friends and family as well as the Mika series which I have also just completed. The video quality is incredible and the shot making is staggeringly amazing. Please do not mistake my own hang ups on the dvd for ill will as it most definitely is not. I guess I just have different tastes then most people. ***
Now comes the bad part.
While funny the out takes section in my opinion was a little too long. I understand that sometimes out takes can be funny but in my honest opinion it felt like a frat house at that point especially the nut shot where Florian jumps off the table and tries to hit the guy in the crotch.
Also during this section I really dont need to see the film crew and support crew attempting some of the shots.
The thing I think that annoys me the most and this is just my personal opinion is that when there are certain things asked about the industry or Florian etc, Nathan is the first person we see.
I know he is the director of this film but in all honesty I felt his appearance time was a little much. I dont think people paid to see him or his opinion but rather see Florian and his incredible shot making.
That being said I agree with what Nathan had to say in regards to the industry I just dont think this was the place to say it.
Guys I fully understand people are going to disagree with me and as I said this is just my personal opinion after viewing this dvd. I just felt the commentary was a bit heavy by Nathan and in truth I would have rather listened to Florian more as he is the one shooting.
All in all the dvd is well done and I have nothing personal against Nathan as I have spoken to him on here and he has been nothing but personable and a great guy to talk to.
I highly reccommend it if you want to see something extraordinary.
