VEPS V - Skill and Specialty Shots

Any more comments, suggestions, questions concerning the new video clips? Disc V isn't finalized yet, so I can still make some changes.

Regards,
Dave

Would you like me to send you a Rack-M-Rite Racking Template/tapping mat so you don't get such bad racks for your breaking section? Whenever the 9 moves the balls were not frozen and it is a bad and inconsistent rack.

If you want to send me one, I'd like to give it a try; although we finished all of the filming for VEPS last summer. We didn't want "perfect racks" on the DVDs because we wanted to demonstrate what happens under typical conditions. Most tables are not "trained," and the balls aren't always perfectly round. But I do like the concept of a racking template or training mat, and new balls, especially for tournaments.

Thanks,
Dave

PS: I'll PM you my mailing address.

those TADA's are just annoying!
... then you'll really like the last shot on Disc V. I make a joke about the "Tah Dah" sound since it seems to annoy some people.

Actually, on Discs IV and V, I tried to use the "GEM" designation, and associate "Tah Dah" sound, more sparingly; although we still think it is important to alert the viewer to extra important info. The sound occurs a lot in the sample clips I post because most of the shots shown are GEMS. It doesn't occur with every shot on the DVDs.

Dave

Tah Dah! :grin-square:

VEPS--good stuff

Dr. Dave,
I just got the 2nd in the series and gave it a once over and really its just awesome. Youve done some great work on what Ive seen so far of the first and second cd. I think the second cd is perhaps some of the most valuable information for playing the table that Ive ever seen. When I watch it its as if I see the moves that my good friend who has been playing 40yrs keeping nailing me with and I think Ive got something for him next time I find myself puzzled as to :What to do: I found the postional principles very easy to understand and some of the solutions very simple to grasp so playing the cd and using them as exercises seem just the right thing to do with the laptop at the pool room on nice rainy day. Thanks a lot its truly good stuff. You did good man, hope you make lots of money youve certainly done lots of work:smile:.

Thanks a bunch for your kind words. I'm glad you think Disc II will help your game. I hope you like the other DVDs just as much, if not more.

Dave
