The other day, the Beard recommended I go to his website, www.bankingwiththebeard.com and look at some of the stuff he has put on there. He especially wanted me to look at his blogs,
www.thelastdaysofbugsrucker.blogspot.com , It was a deserving tribute to our friend Bugs, and he wanted me to see his photo op of when I was inducted into the Onepocket Hall of Fame in "A Night At The One Pocket Hall of Fame Dinner," that was on his other blog www.poolpics-memorabilia.blogspot.com . That was very nice also, but what amazed me as I started wandering through the site and all the other features and blogs was the enormous amount of pool material that the site contained. I soon realized that there was no way to get through all of it. It was a least a couple hundred pages of his (and I say this with affection) sicko version of the old days in pool. Truthfully, I enjoyed myself and it brought back at lot of memories. Eventually Iʼll look through all of it and Iʼm sure Iʼll find plenty of stuff that he and I disagree on. Who didnt know that? Good job Beard, its a shame you could never play as good as you can write.

By the way when we talk about great characters , Corn Bread Red ,Jersey Red, Puckett, Fats, McReady,Ronnie A,you have to put the Beard in there too. Thank's Fred, good stuff.

You are right. I haven't been to Freddy's website in recent times, but every time I do go, I spend a long time perusing the data that he has contributed to it.

It is a genuine pool archives, and what a treasure. Those who haven't had the chance to check it out, it is well worth your time! Highly recommend! :)

I agree Billy. The Beard is one of the real characters to adorn our game in this generation. For those of you who don't know, I suspect he has a genius IQ as well. If Fats was Triple Smart, so is Freddie! He always knew all the angles and played them expertly. If he makes a left turn, I'm following HIM! And if he turns back right, me too!

My new name for Freddie is "The Dead Nuts Beard". The only guys I can think of that were half as clever were the old Pancharoo and maybe Corn!

I must be slipping...

I must really be slipping. I go thru the forum at least once a day, and somehow I missed this thread until today. Well it's never too late to give a bump. Thanx for the plug and the nice remarks, Billy, Jam, Trueblu8, and Jay.
