can you post a direct link? eBay is saying the item has been removed when I did a search with the item #

And least we forget 1 eur is 1.50 in U.S. dollars.

So if it sold for 100.00 eur, it would be 150.00 dollars out of your pocket.

Be sure, I would never give it away for 150 US$...
around 600 can be something to deal with...
( Try to get it cheaper... ;) )

This is a First Edition. It was self published by Vic & Paul in 1993. I think they only printed a couple thousand.

In the past 5 years, about 10 copies of the first edition have sold on eBay for prices between $75 and $250. $600 would be a reasonable price for the special boxed first edition, but not the regular version.

Thanks that is why I asked the question above. The normal copies are not Rare or even collectible, when the new edition comes out the paper back versions are ready for the trash can. The Blue Book of Cues is exactly the same deal, unless they are Hard Bound Versions they are also trash when they are updated. I recently buy a Copy of the 2nd Edition of the Billiards Encyclopedia from Victor on eBay for $175 shipped. Apparently he bought all existing copies from the Publisher, when production stopped. Now he is making them available, and at a very fair price for new copies, I would even bet that he has other copies of both brand new that at some point he would sell, it may be wise to ask him.

Have a great day!!!!!!

The Billiard Encyclopedia has never been published in paperback.

Who cares, like I said before it is obsolete when they printed the second edition. These are not just reprints, many times books are just reprinted in the same format so the first edition would be worth more than a second to a collector. However, with these books the reason there was a second edition was due to updates in the first. Now with this being the case if you have neither copy and want one why buy a 1st Edition, and to call them rare is unrealistic.

I hope you understand my point of view!!!!!

Have a good day!!!!!!!

Hi cuaba and manwon,

the second edition has been expanded and updated, yes. But the first edition of every book is the most valuable.

From of the first only 2.500 units were printed. What quantities of the second and third edition were printed? Does someone know that here?

Ive heard of a first edition with Simonis-cloth... mine has green cloth... but I dont know if that can be one of these special simonis collectors editions?

I believe there were 6,000 of the Second Edition printed?

The First Edition Deluxe was bound in Simonis and came in a Simonis bound box. I believe there were 350 of them? I have one.

The Third Edition will be available soon.

Thanks cuaba,

so from the second edition has more than twice as much printed, as from the first. The third edition will probably get 10.000 or more pieces. That shows that the first edition is worth their money!
