Very Rare Helmstetter Model H-1 Mint!

Probably the only one you will ever see, very rare, especially in never played condition. Cue has been in my collection for many years. Butt weight is 14.8 oz. and shaft is 4.2 oz., 13 mm tip, just perfect. $650 firm.

I was introduced to Richard Helmstetter at a cue show by Craig Petersen
many years ago, Craig told me that he learned how to make cues from Dick

Most of us associate Helmstetter with Adam cues and therefore inexpensivemass produced

I don't know the story behind this cue,but Dick was a genius at cue building and
is even more famous in the golf industry through Calloway and Big Bertha

i say all this to let you know that this is probably a very nice cue

Amazing to see one in new condition.

These were obviously well made. And if you look at the details you know it was "done right". Those dashed rings in the butt sleeve line up perfectly.

It's taken a lot of restraint to not play this cue. It just feels perfect in hand. Hope the buyer doesn't mind if I hit a couple balls with it before sending it out. It's not often I pick up a cue that feels like an extension of the arm. It has terrific balance. Thank you everyone for the kind words.

IIRC this cue was made by ADAM. Nothing cheap about how ADAM cues of this era were built. They still make real high-end stuff(Musashi line) but not much makes it to the States.

Actually this cue was made by Helmstetter, who also markets Adam cues. Helmstetters are generally of higher quality.

Not being pushy on this one. Next week I may decide to keep it. Sold several cues last week so no need to sell unless someone will really appreciate it.

I am sorry, but the Helmstetter cues were made by Adam, not Helmstetter himself.

Do people actually believe that Helmstetter personally made these cues?

Helmstetter cues are great quality cues in my opinion, but they were made by Adam, in Japan.

Actually, I believe that they were actually made by Miki, of Mezz cues, because he was contracted to build Adam cues.

Helmstetter may have just overseen the production of the cues, but he did not personally make any of them.
