After a night of drinking Jack Daniels (I've given it up, btw), I won an undeserved victory, so I did the ol' machine gun rat-ta-tat-tat at the opposing team and blew the smoke outta the barrel. They weren't too happy.

Haha :D Yea I thought of that too but I have a quick release joint and had 2 guns. My hair is kinda long so when I make the bullet sounds I blow air upwards and my hair shoots as well it awesome haah. I have a league tournament today so I might have to blow them all away :p

So I'm curious as to how many other people dance in celebration. Sometimes I can get going including such things as swinging my cue around and grabbing the girls at the next table. One guy I know pushes himself off the table and rolls until he hits a bench or wall or person or other such obstacle (he's in a wheelchair). I hope I'm not the only one who boogies down when I win.

Kind of like the NFL, I feel there should be a penalty for those who do.

I try and "act" as though I've won before and will win again.

Only thing ive ever done is kinda run towards the direction i hit the cue ball on the last shot if i know its a clean hit...Kinda like Tiger following in a putt...

Then the handshake, acknowledgement of appriciation, and exchange of money :)

Getting your whole team to do the synchronized "Thriller" dance would kick serious ass

Would be funny only if'n it were a bunch of middle aged beer bellied red necks......I'd buy that for a dollar

More emotion in winning or loosing?

I don't know about the rest of you but when I win I feel like "yep thats the way it was supposed to happen." and I don't make much of a big deal about it.

Now I am a fierce competitor and do NOT like to loose. If I am just flat outplayed thats ok and I will hopefully learn from the better player, but god help the room if I blow an easy out. I don't throw things (unlike some people) but u could hear some foul language..

I am much more emotional with frustration in my own play than anything else. I guess I could be called a sore looser but it can be a blessing in that it drives me to practice more.

I refuse to show up my opponent by acting like an idiot for winning. It shows more class to just shake hands and be a gentleman. Nothing motivates me more than some jerk beating me and acting like he just won a world title. Show some class.

Since I only play 14.1 and I only play pros so I have a unique dance. I begin to celebrate about 5 balls before the game ball. Each ball I hit with a bit more pace until the last ball I fire in at a hundred miles per hour. Then there is always a large entourage of my people in attendance so they carry me out on their shoulders.

...then the alarm goes off.

In another sport that I play

I had encountered one of the city's best and we practiced often. And he always won.

The day that I was able to outplay him for one situation that was the moment I came the understanding of that drive to be the best.

It was like all that determination of his was challenged. And I indulged in the feeling that I gave him a challenge.

After that we never spoke of the incident just a memory. We never had any falling outs before or after that. We just kept learning off each other.

I've got the "winner's pokerface".....no need to get all endzone about it, just shake hands and move along. I might throw in a "I thought you had me" with the "good match" and handshake, but only if it's the truth. I'm not one to brag about wins.

That's just too cool, Irb...lol.:p

I've got a quick release, too, so next time I'm feeling stooopid again, I'll....I'll...I'll just sit shake his hand and sit down.;) No wait!....I forgot this one:

Another option is the TV show, The Rifleman, opening sequence. Fire off 9 rapid rounds from your rifle, at the end of those, do the Tom Cruise twirl to cock the gun, then reach into your left front pocket, grab a bullet and put it into the gun (repeat 9 times) while seriously staring at them as you walk to your seat. (I haven't tried this one yet:eek: )

If I ever win again, I'll let you know what happens,

I run around the room and get all excited about it. Imagine winning the SuperBowl and NOT getting excited????

Now, in league, that's one thing, but in a big end-of-the-year singles championship or tournament with any kind of significance, yeah, I'm going to get excited.

Showing that amount of emotion after winning a match tells me you are not used to winning!
Not to pick on your post since a lot of other people are saying it, but IMO, this is either misguided or utter bullshit. Maybe you guys are talking about Friday night games, or the weekly league thing, but with real tournaments, players are going to cheer.

How dreadful would it be if the guys who won the World Series didn't run out on the field and mob each other? What about the Patriots who won 3 of 4 Super Bowls? The players cheered like crazy. And they've certainly been there before.

What in the world does "act like you've been there before" mean? It means you get excited when you win something of importance. Or else there'd be not much to get excited about. Is there a player in the universe who has won any major anything that DIDN'T express emotion when they won? Tiger? Phil? Earl Anthony? Nick Varner?

i usually start with the "moonwalk",then at same time do the crouch grab
while while pointing at apponent.then walk up shake hands pulling him towards me with a chest to chest bump and say "does your mother have more game"?lol

LOL at cuejoey's vote. I think if I ever saw cuejoey get "Jiggy With It" after a win, I'd have heart failure. Dude, you are the coolest cat this side of the pet store. :D

Another good one would be to pump your cue like a shotgun, put the butt to your shoulder then yell PULL!! as one of your team mates throws a piece of chalk into the air like a clay pigeon. Then blast it down baby:D

Completely depends on the circumstances. League game, of course I'm not going to do anything. But if I win a tournament, of course I will celebrate.

One thing I do do is bow to my opponent. Because I live in South Korea, that's just what you do. I'm hoping I can shake the habit when I go back to the States.:)

Now dancing...I don't dance. If you are a woman, please don't ask me to try. We'll both just end up embarassed.

Hah nice. We also decided that me getting on one knee and putting my cue on my shoulder while me friend loaded the cuezooka would be a good one :D

Anyone here do the Tom Cruise thing where you jump around using the cue like a bo staff?

"That wasn't pool, that was a circus!"

some of the funniest stuff i've seen on tv are the pool players' victory dances.
