I believe this one was recorded from TV, as the "Solar Sports'' channel logo can be seen throughout the match.

Okay, cool.. I doubt Solar Sports is marketing the videos for sale, and men's matches is mostly just filler material for sports networks..

Now, I doubt Efren was playing to kick a ball then two rail bank it after the kick.. That gives even Efren too much credit..

But... One thing to think about.. While I don't think he is a world-class three cushion player, if 3C players had rankings similar to pool, he would probably be a strong "A" player, if not shortstop level in 3-Cushion.

A lot of the amazing kicks we see Efren execute are reverse-engineered from 3 Cushion shots..

Like the aforementioned Z-stroke kick he made on Earl... That shot looks a LOT easier if you are a student of 3 cushion billiards.

I think what has made Efren so good at doing the amazing multiple rail kicks he does is that after killing all his pocket billiard action in the Phillipines, he learned three cushion, THEN he came back to the game and looked for ways to APPLY his three cushion knowledge at the table...

A lot of people don't realize this, but for learning the effects on ball path for light, medium, and heavy spin, billiards RULES all other games. Because he is such a very good billiards player, Efren has a COMPLETE knowledge of the game...

Yes this is how he calculated it "let's see...I have to kick it with inside english and make sure I send it short of the blocking balls and when it hits the next rail the reverse english will throw it outwards and it will avoid all the balls in the way to go cleanly in the pocket, and let's see the cueball needs to go here so I have an easy shot on the 2 ball" (after the shot thought) "Rats, the cueball didn't go where I intended I'll have to work on that shot."

Didn't see him scratch his head though after he made the 1. :D

there is 2 reasons i loved this video.the first one is that was the best kick shot efren made ive ever seen. the second is because earl strickland was being a great sport.he was clapping after efren made the shot, then conceded the 9 and held his arm up in victory.as much as earl gets condemned on here, he gets my praise here.

Yeah Earl isnt all bad, after all he has accomplished as a player, he does deserve respect. The character flaw's that apparently gets all the attention is normal for a high strung athelete. His adrenaline pumps hard, and its hard for anyone to control your emotions when your filled with super juice, just once, Id like to know what he feels when he is on the 9 in the last set for the win, or Efren right after he makes a shot like the one's we have been talking about, The focus the adrenaline, makes me feel ashamed to walk around the table missing easy shots.

Although Im not on the Efren Bandwagon( or at least im trying not to be) I can only hope to achieve one ounce of the greatness he has achieved. This is my drive, this is why I play. To achieve pool excellence.

That settles it for me. Of course Efren has to know by now that the whole world reads his body language.

I know, I didnt want to say what I did, its hard to believe but watching Efren, he does this sort of thing alot, Magic, Skill, I dont know, but Im not going to deny what I see.

here is another Efren example, I sure dont think he intended to make the first ball, but I know he intended to make the 5.

The first shot on the video is the best- Earl can be seen raising his hands to the pool gods more than once, thanking them for his good fortune. LOL. Karma and talent can really open your eyes to what could be.
