Boy, has it been quiet around here! A whole lotta nada.

I will take this opportunity to introduce you guys to one of our Thursday night League players at the Illinois Billiard Club. Dave Kucan just uploaded a 50 ball run he had the other day. http://vimeo.com/31897224

It's the first video he has uploaded but I do not think it is his first 50. Not sure. Seems to me he played ok when he was younger and then he came back to IBC, started in the Tuesday league and after a few sessions moved in with the Thursday league, where he definitely belongs. I know he practices a lot with Rick Michalec, Sr. who runs a lot of 50s and occasionally gets into the 70s. He also spent a lot of time looking at Phil Capelle's Play your Best Straight Pool. Something seems to be paying off. Probably a combination of everything.

Anyway, something to look at.
 
50 Ball Run

First of all, I would not recommend anyone to learn from his patterns but he deserves a Congrats on his 50 ball run, specially during a match. With that said: He had many balls (as the English would say) "wipe their feet" before falling into the pockets.
Tells him Congrats for me & thanks for posting.
Enjoyed watching it.

Dave plays a good game, though he takes alot of chances (dont we all) going into clusters without insurance.

he keeps the game real simple...and i think thats important.
