I am very happy to announce that after many months of hard work, Bob Jewett and I just finished up our new instructional video project: Video Encyclopedia of One Pocket (VEOP). Here's a trailer video that provides a good overview:

I will also be posting a collection of free excerpt clips over the next two weeks. VEOP can be streamed or downloaded, and it is also available in physical DVD format (shipping now).

VEOP is a 5-volume series covering all the skills, knowledge, strategy, and moves you need to win at one-pocket (1P). It is a perfect set for a new player who wants to learn the game or a serious 1P player who wants to bring their game to the next level. VEOP covers all types of offensive and defensive shots and moves, the rules and how to take advantage of them, the break, game strategy, useful kicking and banking systems and references, end-game strategy, the up-table game, and much more. VEOP will help you become a smarter player, expand your repertoire of shots (in all games), learn how to use the right strategies based on the ball count, and win more games and matches. And the series includes countless example shots and moves by top pros from the best 1P matches of all time.

Here's a detailed outline of the entire series.

We hope many of you enjoy and benefit from VEOP. Please post reviews on this thread (good or bad) so other will know what you think. Thanks in advance!

Enjoy!

Brilliant, THANKS to you both.

The subtleties of 1p are best conveyed in video form.

I'm especially looking forward to the chapter about removing balls from the opponent's hole.

Enjoy! And please let us know what you think. Thanks.

Here's my reply, hoping others will offer advice and let us know how they worked through the process:

I know the Vimeo purchasing process is not the best, but that's the system I use. You don't need to pay for a Vimeo membership, but you do need to create a Vimeo account (or use a Google or Facebook account) to complete the purchase and have access for life. The info under "Having Trouble Purchasing?" at the bottom of the page here might help:
https://drdavebilliards.com/videos/stream/#help
Please let me know whether or not you get it to work. And please suggest other things I can add to the help page to make things smoother for others who might have similar difficulty.

It is hard for me to help more if I don't know the specific problems people faced and how the solved them. Thanks!

i got frustrated
will wait for the dvds
if you figure out an easier way i would try again

Enjoy!

I think this is the last of the VE series. After VEPS, VEPP, VEEB, VENT, VEOP, I'm tired. These are a ton of work.
Thanks for your hard work. People should see what goes into recording something. Your collections are worth double for the work involved.

You're welcome. I think most people would be shocked to see how much time and effort it takes. Video recording all the shooting is the easy and fast part. The long and tough parts are the planning, editing, illustration, narration, and production. I like the whole process, but the second part sometimes wears me down. The funnest part is the filming, where I get to play and practice.
