Good news: I took a few short videos last night in the AZ Room.

Bad News: Unless I pay extra, the internet connection from the hotel room is very slow. Took all night to upload just one short video.

I will upload as many as I can while I am here this week, I will upload all the videos when I get home.

Here is the first one I got uploaded:

Thanks mthornto. I see Willie had his glove and his pocket chalker but not his rack??? :p I also saw Ummagumma breaking on the next table. Looks like fun there.

OMG! That first match was funny. Thanks so much for doing this. This is cool.

deatstroke88 vs williebetmore: it only took them 2:52 seconds to make the one ball. Not bad.

hal vs cornerman: I'll just keep my comments to myself.

:D

Thanks for sharing the secrets of Bragadocios of Internet.
I wish that you could have video taped the game of all the other AZB crowd.we will then know who can really play pool.

V-bond,
I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with your assessment. The AZB room was home to a number of hustler's disguising their speed. In addition, the conversation, distractions, and alcohol (flowing freely) made play in the AZB room JUST FOR FUN - I saw very little serious pool played there.

If you want to gauge the speed of the AZB players, you need to watch them in tournament action - and we had a RESPECTABLE NUMBER of players doing well in all 3 events.

P.S. - You also should realize that Deadstroke was probably the very newest, beginning player that attended. His presence in the room was welcomed; and we all enjoyed his participation. I can't recall anyone giving him grief for being relatively new to the game.

tables

It seems alot of people had a tough time getting the feel of those tables. Most of the players in the room were very nice to eachother and only poked fun from time to time.

My Bad.Pardon my naievity, I forgot about the component of hustling in the culture of pool.:D :D  :D:D

What fun would it be if everyone started off as world-beaters?? Everyone has their bad times before their good times. We have all been there.

Oh ya, Janette Lee brought the best in everyone out.:D

In my defense, I worked all night and drove straight to the DCC. I played Fred as soon as I arrived. I also have only played on a tight Diamond once before (last DCC).

With that said, I still don't play much better than I did in the video. Maybe a little better. I did manage to win a few games against Williebetmore.

I guess what I'm saying is that I suck but not as bad as I did in the video.

As for "who can play". There were some that really played well. I'm not going to mention who they are unless they say it's OK.

IIRC, that was Hal's very first game on those tables. And I also believe that was the only game I actually won against him.

Now, that being said, I had three ball in hands in that game. Keep doing that, and I could be world champion.

Fred

Just giving you guys a little crap. I didn't think you guys were playing at top speed, ha ha. Next time you might want to post vids after you are playing a bit better though! No offense meant by it.

Just saw the Cornerman/ Timberly match on youtube...Thanks for posting that....It was strange hearing my voice on there...Is that what I sound like? Next time I will have to dress better...OH..and be thinner...lol.

Thanks again Mike.

Thanks Mike for the videos. Some of them were pretty funny. I went to the DCC last year but couldn't make it this year. I see the room has improved though! Hopefully I will make it next year.
