I did a quick interview with Mark Griffin the owner of the BCA Pool Leagues and CueSports International. We talked about the phenolic tip ban recently put in place by the BCAPL as well as the upcoming NCS finals and the general state of the game.

I haven't been keeping up with the billiards news much recently, but I heard about this when I was in Las Vegas over Father's Day weekend and hanging around with Mark Estes.

While I have a jump/ break cue with a phenolic tip, I am all for the ban. I personally never even use the break cue - I break with the same cue I shoot with - and very rarely, I use the jump cue.

I definitely believe that this will help reduce the damage on the equipment 10 fold. Hopefully everyone else can have the same respect for the equipment...
